Yeah iirc I was 12.2s 115 bone stock pump 93 stock tires everything, and the next time out I was 12.00s 117 E30 blend…. Also stock tires and in worse summer air.
@Junkyard Dog i haven’t been out to the track at all this year… I got into golf and it’s become my new hobby, people are like “golfing is expensive” and I just say I came from drag racing, this is the cheapest most productive hobby I’ve ever had..
Sticking one on the greens is more fun than...
It can handle it fine, just no gains over E30
For N/A that’s gonna give you maximum spark tolerance/cooling needed.
It’s worth 2 tenths/mph at the track
Literally the tune will be identical, I would only go with a tuner I can either call or go talk to in person.
So location matters, lidio at alternative auto is my rec, or livernois.
Late 90s, maybe even very early 00s, but by then we had 4 bolt block and Y trim vortechs… progress moves fast..
We went from 11s DOMINATING the streets to basically skipping 10s into 9 second street cars, by late 00s everyone competitive was dipping high 8s
Now grudge cars are basically 1//8...
They are more stress, not only do you have the boost NBD, but you have the head unit off to the side and on an external pulley side loading the crank.
They don’t call pro chargers crank snappers for no reason… turbo or whipple.
What did it run? This was my first time out
Edit just watched, WTF would you go to the track on all seasons, that’s LITERALLY how people wreck their cars, your lucky it short shifted…
Good luck but damn
That steeda vid they just posted should frame it all up…
Ported heads, ported intake, longtube headers, steeda CAI on full E85 …. Gained 25/20ish over stock tune.
YMMV as they say.
The only difference if you’re just running 93oct is gonna be the throttle input and the trans shift scheduling
The manual negates even those gains, not worth it without going E85 tune minimum (which I’ve yet to see comped with stock tune E30 blend), i suspect even those gains are marginal.
Most people I know that had a 350 have been thrilled to sell it and move on… can’t believe they’re over 10 years old now… wow
I do have 1 older guy I know that kept his R, but he just puts it to a car show once in awhile and back to the garage.
300a, 10r80, active exhaust, night pony package, floor mats..
Custom order spec 🤣
Then I did steeda progressive springs, bushings, dowels, whipple stg2, BAP, gt350 axles, 275/40/19 555R2s, longtubes, max flow dual 3” resonator 🤝
