It's a couple of presses of the mode button to get in custom mode, I don't find that too onerous, and I hit the lane assist at the same time = nanny free.
I think getting an analysis done can be a good idea. I wouldn't do it on a regular basis, like truckies do though. Detecting fuel dilution early is one example.
Also, if you find high levels of bearing material, it might save engine goes boom.
That doesn't look too bad to get at. Do you have an endoscope, or can you squeeze a phone in to take a pic from underneath?
Personally, I'd rather do it myself than do without my car for 3 weeks.
Is it wrong to hate someone you've never met?
Seriously though, well done. You're going to have a ball with that beast.
Women will want you, men will want to be you.
Yes I saw that, very surprising. But that's what's best, driving it normally. But one mans normal is another mans f'n lunatic.
I tend to do what my bike manufacturers recommended, raising the rev limit in stages. Like 4000 rpm up to 500km, then 8000 until 1000kms.
250mls oil added in 9000 km. Never had an oil burning car.
I trust engine designers before I'd listen to a race engine builder on how to break in a street engine. I'd love someone to tell Lampredi or Colombo how engines should be run in.
Ferrari procedure is much the same as most modern...
Race ready? For racing teams who expect to rebuild engines on a regular basis?
I'll stick to manufacturers break in rules. It's worked well for every new car and bike I've had. What you've recommended is why I will not buy used performance cars.
I don't get the "luxury" thing. Apart from impressing people you don't care about.
I'd never buy a Rolex, I prefer the look of Rado. I'd never buy a Rolls or Bentley. Same with clothes, appliances etc.
I would buy an Impractical iconic Italian or German car brand. I have bought Bugatti jeans...
Mine's not exactly a garage Queen. I'll avoid driving in the rain around town. On trips, who cares?
I had the recall done, they did a good tidy job.
I didn't want to risk any dealer issues if I didn't get it down in a timely manner.
My folks left Italy mostly because of the rise of Mussolini and another war.
I remember the Cuban missile crisis. I was 11, even way down here the Nuns had us praying for God to give JFK guidance. Everyone was convinced WW3 was going to start.
That's possibly why I don't see the world ending...
