It should be legal in such jurisdictions to use the Lo Jack to track your own car and take whatever private revenge you believe is appropriate upon those you find.
I do not assume that the original poster spent more of his income/assets as a percentage than I did on this car.
I am not even a millionaire yet. :frown:
I don't think anybody is going to fault you for buying a GT500.
I am curious how a Dark Horse with a Whipple would perform against that Dark Horse, though (in every way, not just acceleration)
Do it!
And please update the thread so we can follow along.
I am supremely jealous about all of the other cars you have owned. The car in my avatar is the most expensive car I have ever owned.
I am guessing on an autocross course you can never actually push the pedal down to the floor with a Whipple like you would be able to do on an actual road course track?
So give us a little narrative to go with that picture. You are at Langley Speedway with a Whipple supercharged Dark Horse and all sorts of chassis upgrades . . .
Are you also Fornula Russell Champion, whom I quoted?
EDIT: Nevermind. I see you responding to him above, so you are two different persons. I was responding to his post. He is running different wheels and tires.
OK, so in post 14, there is a lengthy attachment in which you describe shaving 4 seconds, a world of time, off of your lap time when you put 100 octane in the tank.
But you also recommend to the OP that he seriously consider Toyo R888R, so yuck. I do not know anybody who has run different...
But you are running a Toyo RR in 295/30/19 on the original Dark Horse handling package 10.5" wheel, right? That should not have any problems with rubbing.
Thanks for posting that.
Wow, an 11 inch wheel and a 325 tire up front? They actually fit with no rubbing on a high speed uphill turn pulling 1.2 Gs or when running over a kerb?
Even for the slightly lower handling package Dark Horses?
That 325 Hoosier tire is 11.2" tread width and 26.9"...
Interesting that you got the Toyo RR to perform well.
Have you tried some other track tires, like the Hoosier track attack pro or R7 or A7 or Nankang CRS or Trofeo R or RS?
Also, with the camber plates, how much camber are you running for best results?
Have you done any tuning along with the headers or just a bolt on?
Have you been back to the track to see about your transmission temperatures since doing all of this work?
The tread is much wider on those - it looks like wider than the wheel width.
I would be very much interested in your opinion of how they compare to the Trofeos, and more especially so if you have lap times to compare.
Update: Weird. So I go to Tire Rack to look up the tread width. The...
