Really? Once you upgrade your connecting rods, buy the Magneride as a part of your suspension, and swap in a Tremec, is it still a $20k difference? I might have missed some stuff.
Handling package has additional things that would need to be purchased aftermarket, e.g., larger wheels and tires...
Ford released something about "strengthened" camshafts. I do not recall seeing anything about a different grind or camshaft lobe profile.
Crankshaft is balanced "uniquely" (not quite sure that that means), and, of course, forged connecting rods.
Wow.
I cannot say the same. I hit 20 over accidentally all the time when I am merely trying to drive, not speed at all.
This is why I try to use cruise control wherever possible, to keep me within a reasonable speed range.
How do you know where the peak is unless you run it up and find out?
Why would those pushing the limits to discover what they are all just stop where Ford stopped?
Maybe we could take that same attitude about spark advance? Air/fuel ratio? Torque limiting settings? Should I go on?
- Better cooling
- bigger brakes
- better suspension
- better wheels and tires
- just an all around better package for safety and stability at speed, allowing law enforcement not only to chase, but to better avoid crashes while doing so.
There is always risk in chasing, but it is best to...
Good for you for doing the right thing regardless of bad behavior by the other driver. You can only control yourself. There are always going to be some idiots on the road.
They do rev it over 8000 rpm, but as you can see the horsepower falls off rather steeply at 8000 rpm, and it is falling even before 8000 rpm, just not as steeply. in fact, the peak horsepower is at a low 6,557 rpm. That appears to be a lower peak than the previous two options.
OK, so that is the dyno chart from the ported cylinder head swap and 2 inch headers over a year ago, back in October of 2024, with E30 and no tune.
Got it.
Thank you for finding that. They could have explained that in the video clearly instead of leaving us wondering.
Watch the video in the original link. Pay attention right after the time stamp of 4 minutes in.
The horsepower and torque change at 4:02, so maybe watch before that for context and then just be alert for that moment. I am sure there is an explanation. I just have no idea what it is.
Well, they seem to get the horsepower at the end, and the video is marketing to sell their NA horsepower package, but I am just having a hard time following what is going on, especially right after the 4:00 minute mark.
It really does not help that in older videos they are keeping secret all...
