Another forum member here installed a 3" dual muffler, one muffler with two pipes in and out, and it resulted in better flow and a quieter exhaust. It also fit in the place of the factory resonator. He also got rid of that pinch point where the factory exhaust squeezes down to a smaller...
OK, so . . .
2" Kooks headers
freer flowing exhaust
Cobra Jet intake manifold
Boschma dual throttle body adapter
Steeda intake tubes (cold air kit)
Steeda Adjustable engine mounts
GSC camshafts
E85 (well, C85)
tune
Am I missing anything? Everything else on that engine is as Ford delivered it?
Just quoting all this here to make it easier for everybody to find and read in one place.
That is a 35° F temperature drop from the cooler, if I am reading rijndael's post correctly. But that oil is not very hot, and I imagine the car is sitting still when he is taking those readings.
That is such a personal question . . . I cannot answer it for you.
With that having been said, I was looking at a (used) BMW M5 Competition with 617 horsepower when I decided to pull the trigger on a new Dark Horse with the handling package. I do not regret (regrat?) my decision.
I don't really understand why you think this is a low price for that sale, but congrats on getting it sold and moving . . .
and . . .
Whoa! a Dark Horse SC!!!
I missed this thread.
Did MMR every upgrade that car with an oil cooler or sort out the clutch issue?
My Dark Horse did 5 track sessions in June in Georgia without any limp mode, but I am a Novice and may not be pushing it as hard as a more experienced driver.
I did not pay that much more than that for mine with only 800 miles last May/June (2024).
This does not seem like the values are dropping all that much.
