If you guys follow through this thread, there are some pretty good comments directed at Ford motor company. I did direct message that member when this went down asking for any guidance or support. No response to that one. The weather has been great here. Right up until the car hit the driveway...
Pulled the trigger at protected ORIGINAL invoice price. Body shop did a great job. Nubbies still on the tires. put 2 miles on it loading on and off flatbed and around the body shop at another dealer in the owners network. New sales manager did admit it would likely be visible on Carfax but...
As for the transmission shifting rougher and rougher my first thought would be low clutch fluid or an issue with the clutch that is not letting it disengage fully making the shifts more difficult than necessary. When I got lazy in my 1st gen Cummins it was easy to only put the clutch in 90-95%...
You guys are right. There are a fair amount of dark horses for sale across the country. But this one was ordered by me for me. First time I've ever really done something just for myself. So there's something special there. And there's not another one just like it I could go pick up in the...
As of last night it still sits in the service area at the dealership.. waiting... Temperatures getting colder... Anybody have experience with those pirelli p zeros in cold temperature? Their detail specifies no warranty coverage below 45°. Anybody had any problems or has everybody actually...
I'm starting to get a little better feel that at least the management at my dealership are trying to take care of the car. Hopefully they have a good handle on their guys in the shop and on the lot crew. I'm about an hour east of Cincinnati Ohio. Is there anybody within maybe an hour of...
Skye thank you for the kind words. That is a thousand percent what I'm worried about. Receiving a brand new car, even at a discount, with a damaged history. The general manager at the dealership seems pretty one-sided but the sales manager has been my point of contact since my salesperson left...
Man I wish. But everything that the front bumper is attached to moved in some way. If you get close and underneath it's worse than it looks. Like the air intakes just wobble around in there, the bumper mounting tabs on the fenders are bent down, the wheel well splash guard is clean ripped in...
Drug the front end down the delivery truck. The whole front clip moved to some extent. That whole sides kind of just flopping. Fender tabs where the bumper attaches are bent. It's worse than it looks in the picture
Yeah kind of heartbroken. I won't pay for a 2025. And this one just isn't so special anymore. Even if they discount it when it's fixed. It's still fixed.
So if I'm that guy that decides to pull the #8 fuse (as soon as I'm sure I'm up to date on updates), does that failure on my part to constantly share information with Ford carry enough weight to cause a warranty coverage issue or are they able to get the history they might need through...
Seriously probably a new guy I talked to. He specifically said the car was "sent out to the body shop". Like didn't know what he was looking at. I watched a couple YouTube videos on flat rock plant last night while doing paperwork. Pretty awesome.
Appreciate that guys. Little freaked out there for a minute. Probably talked to the wrong CSR. When I asked why it might have "been sent" to the body shop, he told me it wasn't rare, like for example, "a pickup truck would go there for a bed liner, or other specific body shop installed option"...
