Ford recently made some changes to their cybersecurity system and I am no longer able to see which modules have pending updates. I can still see OTA history. In the past 180 days, they have tried to send you a PCM update 3 times which has failed since your car is not pinging the server back to...
None is needed. It is very easy. Assuming you already have a windows laptop, all you need is a $30 cable. FORScan itself is free for a 2 month license or $20 for a year.
I would try disabling PAS in this location of the IPC with FORScan:
@John S Your vehicle being a 2022 is different and there is no FORScan sheet for previous gen. However, looking at the 2023 Explorer sheet, PAS is located in the same location on the IPC of those vehicle, so worth a shot to...
When an vehicle receives an OTA, the server interrogator polls the module and reports the config back to the mothership. However, I don't think the interrogator will poll the enite module network......only the module(s) that is being updated with the OTA packet.
So if you make changes to the...
Keep in mind that these newer connected vehicles sync up with the server eventually and whatever changes you make will eventually make their way up to the cloud and become your new ab value(s).
Bang & Olufsen which is the branded system on vehicles with the upgraded sound system.
Which made me think of something: You can also try changing it to 1C to see what happens. If that directs the galloping sounds to the DSP of the B&O system which you do not have, it will send the signal for...
I know you're new to FORScan and maybe aren't ready to start FAFOing yet, but:
You said a base model, so no B&O right? This means that the start-up sound is fromt the splash screen going from the APIM to the ACM and through the speakers. Which means, in the APIM, you have have this config in...
Probably not. Unless it is supposed to work and the module they sent you is misconfigured from them? Hard to say, but worth a phone call at least, imo.
I think you should try contacting them first. AHB is configured in the HCM here, but there is no reason why that config would have changed on its own to disable the feature just from installing headlights.
Not familiar with the product. Does it require a different headlight module or is all the OEM stuff retained and it's just a headlight assembly? Does the vendor say AHB is supported with their product?
I think checking for codes is a good start.
This the config in those lines of the IPC from a random 2026 EB Mustang I found at a local dealer:
06-01: xxFx xxxx xx-- means Boost Vac Display is enabled. So I would change that to an E to disable Boost/Vac and leave everything else as is.
06-01: xxxD xxxx xx-- means IATD is enabled. So I...
Seems like they can be disabled. Not sure what would happen if you did, but I guess you can just put it back if you don't get the desired result. These settings below would need to be messed with to see what happens.
IPC:
I would look at the ones above first and then here if needed. Just...
