For now, that campaign is only for certain model year Broncos and Edges. I am on several forums and have seen a few people in other vehicle platforms complain about this, so I assume thast sooner than later, Ford will need to expand coverage to all vehicles.
To anyomne still trying to work on this (although I still think it cannot be done without side-loading certain IPMA files from an automatic to a manual), there's a guy on the Lightning forum that release a program he made to easily compare ab data from two vehicle or against Livnitup's...
Same thing; different verbiage. Once you make the change, you will need to go to the wrench icon and reboot the APIM for the change to take effect.
SST is smart surface theme. Not sure about the other one.
Ok, so I changed it from smart surface to mustang. The screen didn't render correctly due to the difference in screen size. So in this first video, I was not able to get into the display settings to change it from light to dark, so I say in the video that it won't work on the Mustang...
I have an idea. I don't have a Mustang that I can change the APIM to an F150, but I have an F150 I can change into a Mustang. 🤣
Stand by. Firing up my laptop now.
Ford's version is Bluecruise. From what I hear, GM's Supercruise is better. The F150, Lightning, Mach E, newer Explorers, certain trims of the Expo and certain Lincoln products have it available as an option.
On vehicles with full lane centering, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise, people put...
I would try it, but I am the FAFO type.
Yea, that IPC setting looks correct. I would only disable the warning in the IPC and leave the TCU alone.
I doubt it is a hardware issue why this doesn't work on these cars. I still think it has to do with the display type being set to Mustang and...
I was looking at the Mustang spreadsheet and referenced my truck to see how it was configured to see if my recommendations made sense to try.
Not really. 21-23 F150 and Mach E are almost identical in module architecture. 2024+ is where the second gen Sync 4 with TRON and an IPC managed by the...
I don't see anything else in the APIM or IPC that corrolates to this. Not to say there isn't anything else, but I went cross-eyed looking at every feature code on the spreadsheet and I didn't see anything.
I asked one of the gurus on the F150 forum and he said a lot of these things are defined...
You said this started after an OTA update? Message me the VIN and I'll poke around to see if I see anything helpful.
I would try disconnecting the negative cable from the 12v battery for 20 minutes. You'd be surprised how many little nuisances that can fix.
I see a couple of things of interest here. I pulled the config from a 2025 Mustang and these bits in the APIM stand out:
3rd and 4th bits of the first block are C1. According to the spreadsheet:
So these bits would need to be changed to 41 to enable DM night and day and keep everything...
This is what he said:
"The pin at the IPMA needs to be grounded...momentary switch will go to ground and it will trigger the IPMA to turn on the camera. You can use any switch to do this."
There is a guy on the Mach E forum that did something similar. The thread he made about it is linked...
I don't see why not. Below is what he told me when I asked about it:
"Its basically a ground.. All they need to do is ground that pin.. it doesnt have to be the factory camera button.. any momentary switch would work."
I am trying to get more clarity on which PIN he is referring to, because...
