Except by this time next year, the GM and Dodge products you mentioned will cease to exist, and Ford knows this.

2) it may be your opinion that the 2 isn't a legit M car, but you're the only one. Anyone whose driven *any* (previous gen) 2-series knows they are excellent drivers' cars that carry the spirit of the beloved E46 series, and the M2, especially in Competition...
Because they haven't allowed ANYONE to even look inside the pre-production Dark Horses that were on display at the motor show. They were tinted to like zero, and never opened the doors. The DH appearance package with the blue interior hasn't even been shown in a mock up, yet.
I sincerely hope you can get your car, but the chances rates fall anytime in the short-to-mid term is slim to none. We are in a global recession now and the pain has only just begun.
