Cool, I would really appreciate it. I'm interested in how much clearance is left between the sidewall of the tire and the shock or whatever would hit first if you notice that during install.
What I don't understand it that they let motorcycles run and all they have to do is wear a helmet, 1 piece clothing, boots and gloves. It seems to me a convertible with seatbelts and several airbags in it is way safer than any motorcycle could ever dream of being so the restrictions seem...
I'm wondering if anyone out there is running a 20" rim with some wide rear tires that could share their specs and/or photos. It looks like most guys are running 19" rims with the wider setups but the rims I'm looking at just look better in the 20" size as the design is complex and the larger...
Thanks for the intel! Have you ever ran a 1/4 mile top up and top down to see what the difference is? My car seems a little slower with the top down starting somewhere around the middle of 3rd gear. I have a 6 speed manual.
Anyone running a roll bar or roll cage? Just wondering if there is anything out there for convertible models. My local track requires one for convertibles to run although the guideline doesn't make much sense to me as far as what type of roll bar / roll cage they are talking about.
I was under the impression that these cars had to have tuning unlocked before we could do gear changes. Does anyone have any ideas how Steeda swapped rear gears without tuning? Would it just throw the speedometer off a little or something?
I have the 3.55 manual and I'm still hitting 0 -60 in 4.3 seconds in a convertible. I think they basically run the same 1/4 mile as 3.73 cars as well based on some non-track pack videos I have seen. I have always heard you have to jump up two gear levels to tell a difference. If you started with...
Have you used it yet? I'm wondering how well these work. I have got two chips so far after about 3,500 miles. Funny enough they are both in places you wouldn't PPF unless you were doing the entire vehicle.
Can you tell us what model number or link the Anti gravity battery you are using in the S650? Their website isn't narrowing by make and model really. Did you have to build mounts or anything to keep it in place being I'm assuming the anti gravity battery is physically smaller than stock?
From what I have heard a gear change would require tuning. The power packs Ford sells for the S550 mention that they allow you to make gear changes. Not sure how Steeda made gear changes work in a S650 without tuning. Would love to know @SteedaTech
When one one the major publications was testing either the S550 or S650 I remember they lowered the rear tires to 28 or 30 lbs and they increased the front tire pressure to 40 lbs to decrease rolling resistance.
Just curious what you think the difference in 1/4 mile times would be with the top up vs the top down. Motortrend ran a 12.2 @ 116.8mph in an automatic transmission car. I'm assuming this was with the top up. The car feels significantly slower to me when the top is down once speeds increase. The...
Looks great! I was thinking about doing this to mine. Where did you buy the plastidip? Do they have lighter shades? My car is blue, I have the same wheels and I'm looking for a shade between the bright silver and black. I'm looking for a dark silver look basically.
Whipple based super chargers are the only ones with a tune right now. I think they have 2 options. One where you make about 800 HP and it comes with some kind of warranty and one where you make about 850 HP and there is no warranty. There is a VMP and Ford Racing branded version but they are all...
