That is correct; it is the AWE Switchpath. However, the Switchpath uses the OE connectors, so the valves are controlled as far as opening and closing in the same way as the stock mufflers.
It didn’t bother me too much because I kind of wondered if there would be any issues running in quiet mode. When the light came on I wasn’t that surprised.
The only code was the P061C which I cleared. It is unusual to have the car in track mode, but then ask for quiet mode from the exhaust. I imagine that is not a routinely expected configuration.
Interesting. So it could have less to do with WOT application and be more about sustained high RPM with the throttle in track mode. Unless it was a very odd coincidence, the car didn’t like something about being in quiet mode on the track. I was just guessing that it was the restriction during...
Ive never noticed the exhaust fully opening based on what I’ve heard from it in quiet mode. It seems that would defeat the purpose of having the different modes if it automatically fully opened (track mode) by going full throttle.
I ran four full sessions for a total of almost 2 hours of...
I had an interesting, although not entirely unexpected thing happen with my 2024 Mustang GT PP today.
I’m doing a track day at Road Atlanta, and from 10am-12pm on Sunday the county has mandated quiet hours for the track. We were still allowed to drive as long as we had a relatively quiet...
I’ve had my GT PP for almost two years now and haven’t experienced any of the things you described. It’s strange you would have such a lag in the throttle. I’ve not experienced that on the street or the track.
I did not speak with any vendors about this, but I was also considering either a Whipple or Procharger, and from my research found the same answer. There is more discussion about this on the trackmustangs forum, but the general consensus is forced induction will result in overheating on the...
Based on the repair manual I received, it appears they have access to the service manuals, and then they create a pdf of the entire manual based on your VIN. They do appear to be the genuine Ford manual as they have vehicle specific information such as warranty registration date, mileage at date...
I’m planning to do several more events between now and November. If you see me, stop by and say hello. My setup in the paddock is pretty easy to spot. I’m the race red Mustang and race red F-250.
Roebling was my first event running Continental ExtremeContact Force 295/30/19 square. Yes, I'm attending the Just Track It event next weekend at Road Atlanta. I'm still a novice, but have been solo approved.
I've never checked the in car data, but using a data logger for my last track weekend at Barber, the highest lateral acceleration recorded was 1.30.
I'm headed to Road Atlanta the weekend of July 12, and I'll try to remember to take a look at what the car records and compare it to my data logger.
I plan to rebuild the calipers after each season. I checked the boots after my weekend at Barber because I knew I was getting near the end of the life on the front pads. The pads were down to 4.5 mm on the front, so I went ahead and put new pads on all four corners. When inspecting the pads...
Thanks for the suggestion. I was able to confirm it was the aftermarket toe link making the noise. I bought and installed the Steeda toe links and the noise is gone.
I live right by I-75 at the Georgia/Florida border.
1. Don’t speed more than 6-7mph over the limit.
2. Don’t drive like an idiot.
3. Don’t carry drugs, loads of cash or illegal weapons, especially if you choose to ignore 1&2.
The cops are all over the interstate, not just state and county...
I can’t speak to the Recaros, but the base seats aren’t good for track use. If you’re going to track it once a year, then it won’t be that big of a deal, but if you are tracking regularly it gets old quickly. I tracked with the base seats in mine and every track day the outsides of both knees...
Update: I was able to get the car to make the noise while on the lift. It was coming from the toe link to frame connection. I removed and reinstalled the toe links and it still is clicking, so I’m thinking there is an issue with the spacers. I’m going to pick up some Steeda toe links and replace...
I’m hoping someone may have had a similar occurrence and can point me to the cause of the clicking sound coming from the left rear suspension on my 2024 GT PP.
A little background on the car mods and use. For the rear suspension I have Steeda Progressive springs, Steeda adjustable sway bar...
