  1. My car is on the way!! But…..

Did you get paid the $7k for diminished value from the other driver’s insurance? They generally don’t pay it unless you ask and then they lowball you at first on the DV appraisal. If you are willing to fight with them you can get a good payout. In my case they gave me a low diminished value...
  2. Throttle House: Dark Horse Mustang vs 392 Challenger vs Camaro ( Drag Race , Roll Race & Track Times )

Thank you for the reviews; I think you guys do a great job and keep it entertaining. Some people will never be happy with any reviewer because they didn’t cover it in “this” scenario or do “that” comparison. As you said there are plenty of reviews to give other details people may be looking...
  3. Screen/Infotainment

More often than not mine takes a long time before the mymustang settings screen will load right after startup. As a workaround I set my custom setting to what I want 90% of the time and now each time I start the car I push the car setting up button twice and it goes to my preferred mode and...
  4. New to Ford/Mustang - Dumb things I have noticed

The only time mine has given me the keep hands on steering wheel notification is when I turned on lane centering. I've driven a couple thousand miles using cruise control and never had it come up while lane centering is off.
  5. 2024 Mustang

PLEASE!!!!! So far I've heard of one S650 with a leak, but I think I've read about that one car a thousand times.
  6. Is the 2024 Mustang Really More Expensive?

You guys are making me feel young!! I splurged on my first ever "unnecessary" car after I was already a grandpa. Up until a few years ago I only bought what made sense for the family. Buying the 2024 Mustang I now have three grandkids, and my granddaughter loves to ride in Papa's "race car" as...
  7. Is the 2024 Mustang Really More Expensive?

I get the fact every market is different. I did order a 2024 and picked it up September 1. Most dealers around here are charging MSRP on the GT. You can find a few who will sell below, but most would not on a custom order. There are some allowing X Plan pricing, which would be similar pre or...
  8. Is the 2024 Mustang Really More Expensive?

I get what you are saying, but I think the $42k to $60k comparison is a stretch. Sure, you could get a $47,850 car for $42,000 in 2018/2019, but that was probably on the upper end of available discounts. Paying over MSRP for a 2024 GT is just nuts. You can find them all over for MSRP or...
  9. New to Ford/Mustang - Dumb things I have noticed

I'm not certain on this, but I speculate it may be a requirement for the car to default to Normal mode in order to maintain its current EPA mileage ratings. I think this is the reason that the Auto Start/Stop on many cars automatically turns on each time the car is started, rather than keeping...
  10. Is the 2024 Mustang Really More Expensive?

I keep seeing a lot of comments from people about how expensive the 2024 Mustang is with some questioning whether it is worth it. Even in some of the media reviews they have brought up how expensive the 2024 Mustang has become. After hearing these comments for months I decided to compare my...
  11. How many are regretting

I’ve owned many cars over the years. Subaru had a cracked head under 100k Ford Festiva blew a hole in the piston at 50k miles. Ram 2500 blew the EGR cooler at 40k and transmission at 60k. Replacement blew in 5k miles. Subaru Forester windshield cracked the day after purchasing. Replacement...
  12. How many are regretting

No regrets. 2,200 miles and loving it compared to my S550.
  13. Is MotorTrend right about the new S650?

I’ll admit when they first revealed the S650 I wasn’t a big fan of the front end design. Every other part I preferred the new design. It has since grown on me, and I think it looks better in person than it does in most pictures. Now after having had mine for about six weeks, I really like the...
  14. Does anyone have an H-pipe yet?

@MagneticMartian Steeda just posted their comparison video. It’s a great look at the X versus H pipe.
  15. Wheel Offsets for New Mustang to get best fitment?

I don't see where you've mentioned trying to run this square, but just be aware I don't think this setup will work on the front due to strut clearance. Assuming the stock wheel is 9" with a +42.5 offset, then going to a 10.5" with a +45 offset is going to bring the inside of the wheel 22mm...
  16. Anyone Else Amazed at the 10R80 in the S650 vs S550?

I agree on being hard to believe this is the exact same transmission mechanically. It seems if they have done this good on the programming for the S650, then they would offer it as an update for the S550. I guess maybe they will in the future offer an update for the S550 with the newer...

  18. Official Mustang S650 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

Those should fit, but you’ll have a front tire which is about 5/8” taller than the rear, so about 5/16” more sidewall. I personally would prefer the front the same height or a little shorter than the rear. I would go with at 305/35-19, which will be closer to the stock tire diameter. The...
  19. Anyone Else Amazed at the 10R80 in the S650 vs S550?

My S650 seems to shift at least as fast as my S550, and it is a quick shift even in Normal mode. The difference for me is how smooth it is in normal. It’s faster to respond to throttle inputs in all modes than my S550 as well. There is absolutely no loss in speed in the shifts in any mode for me...
  20. Jacking rails

I did not install them myself, but I believe it is just that end portion that has to be trimmed.
