$6K for full PPF is not a bad price IMO from what I’ve seen here locally. My only issue with it coming with PPF from factory is that I’m anal about paint correction before doing something like PPF. I’d want it cleaned and polished out really well before applying a film to the car.
It will...
Sucks to see. Sounds like you have folks at the dealer that are in your corner and will get it taken care of. Agree with others, so long as everything is replaced that needs to be, you’ll never notice. If a cooler is damaged, it will get replaced.
As for the CarFax, 1)someone would have to...
It’s still probably a $100k delta in price before ADM between the ZR1 and GTD. GTD is firmly in Porsche pricing, ZR1 is creeping in for sure.
As for Mustang and Vette pricing in general, a base Mustang is still about $20k less than a base C8. Even as you increase trim levels and options...
With the amount of time it takes to engineer a car, ZR1 was already well thought out and designed before GTD was even announced. Could GM have tweaked it a bit once GTD was announced? Sure and maybe they did. But they didn’t have horsepower numbers or anything on GTD at that point.
Corvette...
Then why is every word out of Ford’s mouth when GTD competition is brought up Porsche? That’s not even my opinion, watch the Road to the Ring teaser that dropped a few days ago. You hear the Ford/Multimatic team say Europeans and Porsche. Not one word about Corvette and the ZR1. So don’t...
A couple thoughts as to why GTD and ZR1 aren’t really competing.
1) GTD was announced well before ZR1. Yeah, we all kinda thought a ZR1 was coming but it wasn’t announced at that point. Ford had this planned for some time and highly likely without a ZR1 in mind
2)Listen to Farley and...
This is hilarious. GTD is way more than a GT500 with a body kit. More like a street legal version of the GT3 race car with a blower. I’d gladly buy a ready to go race car for $300k if my wallet allowed, I don’t understand why GTD gets so much grief. Is it because of the Mustang nameplate...
Indulgent looks similar to Velocity or Lightning Blue in the pictures. Both were fantastic S550 colors. Grabber Blue seems to be popular enough that they keep bringing back (which I love being a GB owner myself). Bring back a Twister Orange or Orange Fury or School Bus Yellow. Gotta Have It...
Also, @Ford Motor Company , if you’re done making boring cars, stop with the boring colors. Don’t need 5 different shades of gray/silver. Bring back the yellows, oranges and greens. Disappointing that yellow was pulled after 1 model year and not replaced with an orange or green (or even keep...
Like I said, it depends on the state you’re in. Here in IL it typically makes more sense to trade in. Really depends on the difference in trade in price and what you can get private sale. There are times when private sale does make sense here. But this lovely state gets plenty of my tax...
I will disagree that trading in is always a bad idea. Depending on the state you live in, there are real sales tax benefits to trading in. In a lot of cases that sales tax will wipe out whatever extra amount you made selling the car privately. Both options should be weighed before selling a car.
I couldn’t roll down my windows for 2 or 3 days after install so that the tint could fully adhere to the glass. I don’t recall seeing much in the way of cloudiness but it was also in the middle of summer when I had mine installed. The heat helped with the evaporation of the application fluid...
