  1. Hands-on reviews: digital gauge cluster, display screens, SYNC 4 -- which media are calling impressive

I'm pretty sure Ford has been using QNX since Sync 3: https://www.telematicswire.net/ford-sync-3-from-microsoft-to-qnx-and-the-change-is-noticeable/
  2. Hands-on reviews: digital gauge cluster, display screens, SYNC 4 -- which media are calling impressive

Old Fogey here at 59, and I've always been a tech nerd, and orderd the 401a package on my 2018 just for the digital dash. That said, while these screens look great, I think some physical buttons make driving easier and safer when you can use muscle memory to just reach for a switch, dial or...
  3. First time ordering a car…..

The destination fee will be added by Ford, so there shouldn't be anything beyond that for shipping if it's going to a local dealer. When I ordered mine, I did a build and price online, then went to the dealer and compared their price to that, and it was pretty easy to tell if they had added...
  4. New 2024 Mustang Dark Horse details: color-shifting Blue Ember paint, stripe options, interior look

I saw this article that includes a video interview with chief engineer Ed Krenz. Apologies if it's already been posted elsewhere: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/more-ford-mustang-dark-horse-secrets-revealed/ar-AA17fkgv Video link...
  5. S650 Convertible GT at the 2023 San Diego International Auto Show

I didn't really see it any better than what the photo shows, but I zoomed into the photo and tried to brighten it a little in case it gives a better view of the interior. It does look like the screen is not the split screen to me.
  6. Official RAPID RED Mustang S650 Thread

Like the title says, they had a S650 convertible GT at the San Diego Auto Show, so I took a few photos. This is one of the few times that the pictures I saw online were exactly like the car in person, so nothing really surprised me. You couldn't get on its platform or in it or anything, so...

  8. Yellow Splash 2024 Mustang GT Caught Testing

That front quarter view is a good look for it, best I've seen it look to me - nicely done!
  9. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

I don't have strong feelings about this work either way, but thought I'd post it here in case some folks find it interesting:
  10. S650 Shelby GT500 Mustang renderings by drive.com

I like the Drive rendering, that seems to fit well with the S650 styling, in my opinion.
  11. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

Not to beat a dead horse, but when talking about Mustang design, and what fits in with the Mustang heritage, I saw this article, and while I don't agree with a lot of what's said, I thought this made a good point: Article So that’s where we’ve been ever since, Ford like Dodge and Chevrolet...
  12. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

I know that there was a desire to reference some classic styling cues, but the S197 embodied the classic look a lot more than the S550, so I felt the S550 is where Ford started trying to push things to be more modern - hence the IRS as well. You must have disliked the GT350 too, as it had...
  13. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

Not a perfect layout, but I tried to set up a comparison for the different versions (I had to flip the '18GT and S650 to get them all facing the same direction). To me, the '18 GT and '18GT350 have the most similar shape, and both seem to slope more than the other two, which I prefer. The...
  14. S650 v S550 Mustang GT front end comparison

The only thing I don't really like about the S650 front end is the large black band at the bottom of the grille, it just seems a bit out of character. For other front ends, in no particular order, I like the '18 (no surprise), Mach 1, GT350 and GT500. Had the '18 refresh not changed the front...
  15. 🎉 The 7th Gen Mustang S650 Has Officially Landed!!

Yes, there's not a crystal clear statement saying ICE is going on through the eighth gen, so it might not be a solid declaration. And, of course, plans change...
  16. Farley: 8th Gen Mustang Will Have ICE Engine Option

Looks like Ford is currently planning on supporting ICE through the 8th gen: Ford Mustang's future: Petrol power alive and bucking – Farley (whichcar.com.au)
  17. 🎉 The 7th Gen Mustang S650 Has Officially Landed!!

I was curious what the Camaro folks had to say about it, given that the Camaro is going away, and I found it interesting that many of them also said it looks like a Camaro.
  18. 🎉 The 7th Gen Mustang S650 Has Officially Landed!!

I was thinking the same thing - this seems like a much cleaner look than the GT:
  19. ⚠️ LEAKED S650 Mustang Images & Rumored Specs!! [New Shots & Engine Image Added]

I haven't read every post in the thread, so others have probably shared the same sentiment, but a bunch of hate is pretty normal for a new release. While I don't feel the need to rush out and buy one, I think it looks fine. I think that the gray GT (I assume) looks good from that angle. The...
  20. Start Button revealed from S650 Mustang

The Ford Falcon vs. the Millennium Falcon :) (sorry, going way off-topic here) https://www.onallcylinders.com/2022/05/04/may-the-ford-be-with-you-whether-youre-piloting-a-ford-or-millennium-falcon/
