Huh. Preferred S197 to S550 but yet considering a car that gets even further away from the simple S197 design by going to more digital craziness inside. I guess I can see liking the blocky S650 front end better if you are a S197 fan. The Mach 1 and Dark Horse have had nearly identical times on...
More manufacturers are moving away from the screen controls as more people demand a return to physical controls. I for one wished Ford had copied Porsche on the whole screen/control thing versus BMW. Audio controls are one thing but they should have kept the A/C controls as they were in S550...
Look at the Ford Mustang website. So many errors...and re-use of pictures/lists. This does not surprise me at all...nor does the glitchy new fangled screens. The center screen in the S550 is the glitchiest/most problematic thing in the car. S650 just added more of that.
Pre-game hype goes to ZR-1, and it is not particularly close.
1000+hp > 800+ hp; 212+ mph > 203 mph; in-house developed > outsourcing (which Corvette was keen to hype at ZR-1 reveal); ~ $180K price < $330K price. Normal allocation model > limited lottery to influencers. Lot of people waving a...
I use this site to watch for newer variants that might fix the shortcomings of the DH. I am glad some of you are crazy enough to pay the exorbitant prices for the new ones as it is keeping things alive for the possibility of a variant that might be worth the asking price.
Yet that guy got a GTD allocation. And was part of the 2024 rollout. Speed phenom is another one. He ditched Ford like a turd when the C8 came out and flipped his Z06 within a year, yet he is one of the chosen ones. I will admit that SP tracks his cars. With Stangmode we will get 0-60 pulls, and...
You are right. I didn't want to pay 70k for glued on iPads. Or Camaro/Honda/Hyundai styling. I was hoping for actual useful digital upgrades though like a PDR and heads up options when they made such a hoopla about the interior overhaul.
Just cut and paste the conversation from GT vs. Mach 1 from Mustang 6G and do a find and replace for Mach 1 to Dark Horse. Lol. On a more serious note, Ford did do DH owner's a solid by upgrading the brakes a bit more on DH vs. GT. I always wondered why the Mach 1 didn't get the GT350 brake...
I will latch onto this. For those of you who have bought a new S650, who has done the Mustang Unleashed event? I am curious what cars from the Mustang past you drive during the Heritage portion I must admit that that event is pretty cool for all new owners. Not enough to make me want to buy a...
At least in Porsche and Lamborghini, they were brands making new vehicles-not making the 911 or Aventador into sedans or hatchbacks. Corvette and mustang were not and are not brands. The shift to a brand is again part of them getting the sheep to follow suit. I guess I will hold onto what I have...
Just kill the name already. Slapping mustang on everything with wheels; CUV, e-bike, now sedans and probably a wagon at some point. Lame. A mustang shouldn't be a family car or for going to Lowes. @#$%. Doesn't make it any better that Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari did it too...they were...
Are they as inaccurate as the C8 ones? Guys like speed phenom will post these crazy 2.X videos for those cars when you can sit there and count one one thousand up to 3 and the thing is not all that close to 60 yet. My Mach 1 0-60 timer seems pretty legit. Usually 4.4 to 4.6 on a normal road in...
The Mach 1 and GT500 were considered Ford Performance vehicles...can still see them listed in the bottom links of the page but the links are broken now. I too thought it was odd that the DH was not included. In other news, not a single mustang was made in July. Just saw an article on that...that...
Yep. Just watched the reveal video with Tadge where he really dug in on this was all done in-house. Ford Performance has got to step up their game. The GTD is Mustang in name only.
Mustang does not compete with C8 corvette. I don't care if they get close in HP or whatever. Compete is beyond just times etc...it is also in an experience and the overall feel. The C8 is a Lamborghini/Ferrari competitor in spirit and experience. If you grew up with the countach all over the...
