I am hoping the Kissimmee Mecum auction in January has it, because I will be there. I am also in agreement concerning the proportions, but seeing it in person will either justify or change my opinion.
Looks good in those photos. I like the 'plain' hood as opposed to the center heat extractor on the GT, even thought I prefer the dual heat extractors on my '19, via '67, '68. I think, IMO, a lot of GT buyers will one day opt to replace their hood with the 4T hood.
Ford, just make a BRZ/FRS knock-off, take that ridiculous 'video game' dash out of the 'Stang, slap it into that and call it a day! .... PRETTY PLEASE?
I'll drink to that ... let the invective piling on continue! Ford, are you there? Do we all have to wait until April 1st when you will say those two magic words regarding the dash?
I agree it should look better in person to those that do not like it now; it can't look worse than it does in pics. That being said, for me, I just flat out 'do not want' a full instrument touch screen, whether it looks good or not. I still wish Ford gave us a choice of two options, but it...
You are not the only one. I agree. I like the exterior of the s650 more and more than I did earlier, but not quite as much as I like my s550. The s650 in 'cleaner' looking than the s550, but that is not necessarily a good thing because I think it is TOO clean, especially the rear and trunk. They...
More like in between cassette and 8-track, but I never said it wasn't a Mustang; it obvious is because it says so somewhere on it. Everything does not have to move into the future, it can stay with its roots and be what it was born to be, just better and more advanced. As I have said before, and...
True, and if I need a new car by then, then I will have to 'accept' it, because of no other choice. IMO, I believe that some s650 buyers will also 'accept' it, even if they really don't like it. Right now. however, there is another choice and Ford should have made it so to keep the Mustang what...
Dawg??? Is that a word? My post is just an opinion for a classic car. I want it to be what it should be and always has been IMO. If opinions hurt your feelings then don't read the majority of opinions (many much worse that mine) on this forum concerning the dash board. Don't want to see you pout...
Remember, April 1st comes before the s650 will be released for sale. I think that Ford is just setting all of us up for one of the biggest April Fool's joke ever. Stay tuned .
Everything you just said is nonsense and has zero to do with my previous opinion. Mustangs have had their own personality since '64 and having a dash board that shares its look with other cars is a step several rungs down, therefore; the integrity and pedigree gets muddied and out of focus.
If I am entitled to my opinion, like you said, then that shouldn't make me an AH. Only an AH calls someone an AH just because they have an opinion. There are a lot of comments that are more 'negative' on the dash than mine is in both forums. Personally, I believe the dash layout will be changed...
Those that don't care that it looks a lot like other dashboards also don't care about the classic integrity & pedigree of the Mustang. That is just sad.
The 'droopy' look was the best part of the '18+ front end IMO. Just about every car these days has upward sloping headlights .... "look at me, I'm smiling!". I like the different and more unique look my '19 headlights ..., much more aggressive looking!
Just because it's in a mustang, doesn't make it a Mustang dash. If you put a Camaro dash in the s650, does that make it a Mustang dash? ....... My bad, it does, because the exterior looks like a Camaro. That's not a problem with me, however, because I like the exterior (and the Camaro), but not...
I saw DeMuro's video (after his advertisement) and it still looks like an egregious mistake on Ford's part. I actually like the exterior more than I did when I first saw it, but my view of that dash has not changed one iota. I wish they had an option for a more 'traditional' dash, then this car...
