Maybe not FlexFuel but definitely E85. The SRT Demon 170 is specifically designed for E85. The "170" is the alcohol proof in the fuel. If 1,025 Horsepower isn't a performance application, I don't know what is.
Thanks.
With today being the 4 month anniversary of me ordering my Dark Horse. I bit the bullet and used Ford chat for any information. Status is "Unscheduled- Clean". I asked if there were any constraints, and here is the chat exchange:
Does this mean all parts are available and just waiting on...
I have been a Mustang enthusiast since the late 70's. After I joined the US Navy in the early '80's, I met a guy that had a 1969 Sportsroof Mustang, not anything special but I loved that bodystyle (Still do). I bought my first Mustang in 1988, it was a 1970 coupe with a 302 four barrel and...
Biggest one for me.
Why do the manual equipped vehicles not get equipped with some of the most emphasized new features?
1. Remote Rev. (Even if the car is already running).
2. Remote Start. (Especially as most, if not all of the sensors are already in place).
The seats in the convertibles...
No, not scheduled, no VIN. Just wishful thinking.
Agreed.
It is disappointing that my dealer has a Dark Horse ordered with VIN and build sheet, but it is not AP or HP.
IMHO, I think Ford is pretty much on schedule.
Traditionally, new models hit the dealerships in late August or early September for the start of a model year.
The early ordering process kind of skews the expectation to quicker deliveries than tradition would suggest. Especially in this world...
No, though I was hoping for September. Would have been an awesome birthday present! Now, I really do not expect my DH, AP/HP delivery until year end. Hey, Merry Christmas to me!!!
Good point. I agree with the borrowing of design elements from each other. Look at the cars from each decade, once one manufacturer does something popular, the rest follow up with something similar. The worst or best example of this trend are the cars of the '70's all were boxy and squared...
Agreed. But, even at 60, not too old!
I skipped the entire 15-23 S550's, and going from a S197 to the S650. I've pushed my '06 GT past the limit a few times, luckily without major incident. It does bring a bit of wisdom from the experience.
I am going to enjoy the miles of smiles in my Dark...
Overall, pretty good reviews. My only critique is the constant comparison of the rear quarters of the S650 to the Camaro. Enough already. The Camara borrowed that look from the Mustang. They seem to forget that the Mustangs had those broad haunches on their Mustang 54 years ago. Jim Owen's...
This is how I already operate my car, as this saves wear and tear on the throw out bearing, so having the "ASS" kick in would be fine with me.
This works for me!
I would have preferred that they put the "ASS" in the Dark Horse with manual and drop the gas guzzler tax. But, alas it is not to...
I know the feeling.
I work in Production Control and Product Configurator design, (Not at Ford, unfortunately, LOL!). I understand the why's, but it is still just as frustrating having to order things you really don't want just to get the one thing you do want.
Unfortunately, this is due to...
I don't think you are weird in thinking that the hard plastics are preferred over the "Soft touch" interior pieces. In my personal experience the hard plastics will fare much better over the years. As far as weight, the difference is pretty negligible as the usage of these parts is mostly...
