Ford already said that the MY24 will be ~18 months. They even shortened the MY23 my ending production of the M23's in what, Mid-May?
This was done to changeover and start the MY24's production. So, even if cars aren't built until April 24, they will still be '24's.
There will many extremely...
The smaller height and circumference will give you a bit better acceleration at the expense of speedometer error and higher revs and lower gas mileage over all.
Not to mention that the 315/30R19's have a very limited selection, see my post above.
Look at the bottom of that page for tire size...
Right now that is my option on the rears.
It opens up the choices dramatically. This is what I have found so far:
Tire Availability By Fitment then Price (After OEM):
OEM Size(s) Available:
Alternate Size:
Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo RS
F: 305/30R19 / R: 315/30R19
R: 325/30R19
Michelin Pilot...
Do you know if they are available in both DH HP sizes 305/30R19 and 315/30R19? All of the Continental Sport tires I could find were only for the front size, or 325/30R19, none in the 305/30R19.
Good call!
They are just about the only tires that are out there in the stock DH HP sizes.
I was curious why Ford put all the extra effort in the Pirelli Trofeo RS.
I was also curious why no leather, at least on the Premium DH.
I personally much prefer the cloth.
I have had two Mustangs with the Leather ('82 GT & '01 GT) and two with cloth ('98 V6, '06 GT). I have had much better luck with the cloth than leather, both in longevity and comfort.
The '82...
I find it interesting that Ford put all the extra effort into putting a new DH specific compound Pirelli Trofeo RS unproven tire on the DH HP, but opted to use the Michelin Pilot Sport racing tires (Bespoke) on the Dark Horse R.
Wouldn't it have been much easier just to stay with a single...
I have an '06 with the TR-3650 Tremec, it is not exactly a smooth shifting transmission, even with a short throw shifter. I occasionally have the 2-3 lockout, but I just put light pressure on the gear shifter, double tap the clutch and it goes right in. I also ordered the DH with the Tremec...
Swap out to a Dark Horse PCM. Might not be least expensive, but may be easiest. That is if Ford doesn't limit buying a DH PCM to actual DH owners. Alternatively, and I cringe at the thought, it won't be long before you will probably get one from a wrecked DH, from CoPart.
I also prefer physical gauges rather than virtual ones. In the 40+ years of car ownership, I have never had a gauge fail. I have had fuses blow or senders go bad but never a gauge failure.
The problem with that formula is it only tells you what the horsepower is for any given torque value at a specific RPM.
Or vice-versa:
Tq = HP x 5252 / RPM
That's why no matter the engine, the torque and horsepower are the same at 5252 RPM.
It doesn't help at all in trying to figure peak...
Truthfully, I was a bit surprised how wide the gap between the Torque (415/418) and Horsepower (480/486/500) is on the Coyote. I would have expected the peak torque to peak hp gap to be about 20-30, not 70-80.
