I will not claim any dyno backed power gains, but I have now run a throttle controller, Shoemaker and Wengerd tunes and will not drive my car without the tune/controller combo.
Night and day drivability difference for me.
Of the two tuners I have tried, I do prefer my Wengerd tune with...
If I roll ~65 on a road trip I get just shy of 29 mpg. Usually with normal driving I see ~26mpg highway.
But my day to day is a mix of street and highway for a tank of fuel and I see ~19-20 mpg.
It's a great car.
I have mine set in the Mode Selection setting... So it changes from Normal, to Sport, to Track and then my custom setup which uses the 87 dash (first Mustang was a 86 so it takes me back).
I BELIEVE the speed limit signs are only enabled on the "high" equipment groups that have Adaptive Cruise control. My '24 Premium is a "400A" car and does not have adaptive cruise, so no speed limit signs on by default. Part of Co-Pilot 360 I believe.
I will be enabling in Forscan this weekend...
I have had 3.31's, 3.55's, 3.73's and 4.10's in my Mustangs.
3.73 is the perfect ratio IMO. 4.10's are a ton of fun but really wind out on the highway and if you go forced induction down the road become a real pain. 3.55 is a great highway gear but looses attitude on the street. 3.73? Perfect...
I am currently running a tune from Shoemaker Performance. Still enjoying it, it's how the car should have been delivered from the factory.
I STILL am not saying it adds tons of power etc... but it (for me at least) totally improved the daily drivability of the car and I am glad I spent the...
I will do the recall when I need a windshield replacement.... I don't like the prying of the windshield either so they can remove my glass, recall and replace glass. Since I'm in AZ it's only a matter of time before I need one anyways.
Got mine installed right before I went on vacation, it's basic functionality wise but I really value the OEM type installation.... Super stealthily.
Liked it enough I ordered one for my wife's Cadillac.
That was my understanding as well and I struggle to believe Ford would trust a strategy code update via wireless you know? The F150 thread says they did... but I'd like to see 1 or two more sample points before I draw a conclusion.
They used to make low glare interior polishes as well. I used them on older cars. Not sure if they still do that. I also see glare but only with certain angles.
Did you install yourself?
Any observations on airbox size differences, inlet tube differences etc? By the pictures it all looks larger and long term that might be a better fit for my upgrade plans.
