Adding to my earlier post... The PP package includes much more than the cooling upgrades. A quick Google search will provide details of what the PP option includes.
The PP option in my mind gets a bad reputation as not worthy of the asking price. No middleground seems to exist between camps.
Simple answer to your question - Not required but highly recommended.
My advice is go with a HD heat exchanger. If you go the Whipple route there is an option to upgrade to the HD heat exchanger during order placement. Not sure if Roush offers this option.
My Mustang has the PP option...
I forgot to mention one thing in my previous post. If you've completed the install you more than likely discovered the B-Pillar panels must be trimmed to allow the harness to exit toward the front of the vehicle.
If you've completed the installation disregard the info below. If not you may...
I self installed the Schroth/RTR Quickfit Pro's (Driver & passenger) in my 2024 Mustang approx. 2 months ago (give or take). The direction (written by Schroth) have not been updated in years. The latest addendum in the directions references 6th gen. Mustangs. Schroth needs to step up to the...
Imagining the response Ms. Schlarb received from her insurance provider. Ms. Schlarb, we' are very sorry to hear about the incident that resulted in damage to your vehicle..We reviewed your policy and were unable to locate a "eagle drops cat through window" rider.. The lack of said rider forces...
I have a FP/Whipple Stage 1 SC on my Mustang (self installed). Given that, I'm invested if you will in the reason for the calibration hold. I chose the self install route because I prize my Mustang (It's my Ferrari if you will). Unfortunately, the price difference between the two draws a clear...
Recently stumbled across the following document from NHTSA (See below). Appears obvious this is why Ford put the brakes on the Whipple calibration. The document shows the Ford Performance Powertrain Engineering team discovered the cause for the hold on August 20th of this year. Read the document...
I not 100% sure on the following. Sounds like you intend to leave the car in neutral and apply the parking brake and use wheel/tire chocks. If the battery dies in storage I don't think you be able to release the parking brake. If possible, I would simulate this in advance and see what happens...
The "CTEK Comfort Connect Adapter with M10 Eyelet" is compatible will all CTEK maintainers/chargers.
The Ford Performance battery maintainer/charger is a CTEK model with a FP label on it.
So yes, it would be compatible.
Technically, a 2amp maintainer/charger will do the job as long as the battery stays close to full charge at all times. The 2amp maintainer you're contemplating is designed for batteries up to 40Ah. I believe our batteries are in the neighborhood of 70Ah.
I would opt for a 5amp maint./charger...
I think either would be fine with Dark Matter Grey. Lighter body colors would need to be painted to match the body color unless optioned with the Night Pony package.
Edit - It kind of looks like you have the Night Pony package. Yes? No?
Based on the non HP I would stay with 10" front, 11" rear. It may be worth searching and asking around if 10.5" will work on the front of a non HP DH.
Edit - Added a brighter side view that show the SVE DHP1 wheels a little better. Grabber Blue is very hard to capture and show the true color...
I'm okay with the tire Nitto NT05 tire sizes that came with the package. I posted the sizes in this thread - Here they are again.
Front 275/35/19 Nitto NT05, Rear 305/35/19 Nitto NT05
One thing to keep in mind is the Nitto NT05's are wider than most in the same size.
Edit add - I Forgot you...
That is a good point however I'm a little hesitant until the next mod is complete. That mod is a Whipple heavy duty race heat exchanger with dual pump upgrade. I'm waiting until the car is parked for the winter to install. I'm lucky in that my Mustang is garaged all the time and only comes out...
