Hello All
Has any one use ford performance plus oil filter or the regular motor craft oil filter ready to change the oil filter & oil soon coming out of storage only have 989 miles on It came in on 11-Sep-2025 I would like to use the best filter out there? thanks in advance...
Very true! Hooking up in 1st gear is all but impossible for me. For reference, I have the Torsen Diff. with 3.73's. Hooking in 2nd requires excellent throttle control. Also, I never use traction control - I shut it off completely including "advance trac". I gave it a try once after I installed...
Sorry for the late response. Had to deal with some work issues today which is rare.
I went with the Ford Performance Oil Separators to keep things looking OEM. Other members have thrown out recommendations all of which will do the job. Avoid no name junk and you'll be fine!
The performance after SC install is on another level. Don't forget to add a catch can on the dirty side (passenger side). The SC will 100% cause some oil blow by on the dirty side. You'll want to divert the blow by oil into a catch can vs. sending into the intake system. You can get away with...
@buddyg - Doesn't appear you had a "catch can"/oil separator installed. At minimum, you should install one on the "dirty" side. Dirty side is passenger side. No question the supercharger will send small amounts of blow-by oil back into the engine. Edit add due to poor wording...... A...
I've added some comments within your thread starter post to avoid any misunderstanding.
A little more advice.
1. The body shop manager is the biggest fail so far in your case.
2. Hard to say where FORD stands at this point.
3. Forum members can provide advice. Which road to choose is up to...
Warranty claim success is greatly influenced by the Dealership and their handling of the claim. Your dealerships tenacity score on a scale of 1 -10 with 10 being the highest level of tenacity is a 0 (ZERO). If your dealership was an alligator they would die of starvation.
Your dealer didn't...
By chance, were you turning when you experieced this behavior? Your Mustang is optioned with the PP which means you have a Torsen diiferential (no clutch packs). I would not rule out the possibilty of the Torsen diff. causing this behavoir.
Never liked the "racoon" eyes on the DH. Matching body color looks way better. I like 98% of the DH front end design with one exception that being the area below the headlights. There is something about it (black or body color) that seems "off" to me. I just think the DH desingers could have...
What @Sofa King said is the answer. Wheel and tire cleaning products tend to add to the quick surface rust. The brake pad surfaces will knock that ugly rust off in a jiffy.
Did you order a Ford Performance/Whipple Stage 1? If yes, the 8-12 week lead time doesn't add up unless the delay is due to the FP software issue. I say that because Ford Performance shows the FP/Whipple SC in stock (1 week or so to any Ford Dealer). LMR has them in stock as well. I have no idea...
Not knowing the exact voltage of your battery prior to charging makes an accurate time to full charge hard to determine. A 70Ah battery can take up to 50 hours to charge with a 1.25 amp maintainer.
Not trying to start a debate. If a given State Police agency is going to outfit their fleet with special purpose vehicles such as the Mustang they should opt for the PP. The officers who risk their lives driving these Mustang's in high speed pursuits deserve the upgraded handling and braking...
In cases where the battery is substantially low an appropriately sized charger should be used. A battery maintainer/tender is designed to keep a fully charged (or close) battery in tip top condition.
