Is a 2004 (40th anniversary) mach 1 more valuable than a 2003? My guess is no. I think it takes a very unique high performance mustang to increase value. Mach 1 didn't make that cut. Seems to need the shelby nameplate. You have to exclude the recent inflation though. Most cars bought before 2020...
I think the gt500 will go to an awd model. My past concern is they are moving to porsche capability with porsche pricing. Independant rear suspension is an example of thar. Thats not the affordable mustang we are used to.
Low miles for the age. Same happened to me on a '16 gt350 and '24 dh. I finally got a battery tender. No issues since. Sitting for 2 weeks or more it slowly drains the battery without it.
I don't have sirius in the mustang but i have it in my truck. I can get any nascar race or nfl game with it. It seems to be more reliable than using my phone with intermittent dead zones while travelling
I'll ad that "boost for boost" they should all make almost the same hp. The difference would be the residual loss (hp to spin the pulley) and the tune. Past that it can be manipulated with octane. Like pooring a can of boostane in it. Sensors sniff the extra octane and increases timing. More HP...
Of course it's gonna dyno more. It allows more timing in the tune. Some say an unsafe amount of timing.
Of course it's gonna dyno more. It allows more timing in the tune. Some say an unsafe amount of timing. That is my opinion on why whipple tunes are stopped for now. Its tuned like it's on...
The issue is whipple allows 20 deg timing, roush allows 16 (ish). Some tuners say 20 is too much and unsafe. I think this was unknown until tuning got unlocked and people saw it. That's my opinion on the whole situation. It's purely speculation.
I could be wrong, but lund has to start with the loaded tune, then modify it? That's my understanding. Tuning is much more involved than what us simple folk can comprehend. It blows my mind how complicated it is.
The feature is bad ass. I think it was added to manuals in 2019 but auto's were earlier.
How did you like paddle shifting? I haven't done much but it seemed slow. I'm hoping that tuning can crisp it up.
I do like how i can take off in second gear. In autocross you basically run the course in...
I am same age. We went to the darkhorse track attack in charlotte, nc. That got us hooked. Since then i've been to 2 other roadtracks as well as autocross in parking lots. Only options growing up was a dragstrip. Definately more adrenaline when turning and braking.
This is interesting cause Lund has been reviewing the whipple tune for changes. Word is they were shocked by the timing added in on the whipple tune. Something like 20 degrees (on 91 octane) when they feel 17 would/should be the limit.
I remember reading or watching a video about the s650 debut from ford. They basically said go add a catch can and go racing. Mssquad shows it in print. Thats 2 references from ford about it. I'd never find my source though. I kept it in the back of my mind.
