For anyone wondering now or in the future, the answer is no. You aren't able to take off the shutter blades. It will end up throwing the code because it tries to detect an minimum/maximum threshold. I was able to get new parts in and put the blades back in after that experiment and no codes have...
From what I’ve tested unplugging seems to not do anything, but I also haven’t tested that enough. I’ll test again and report back just out of curiosity. I can also post pics of the damage if needed.
I see, sadly the surrounding was damaged in the process. But that gives me something to look on if I can get a replacement part. I appreciate that a bunch!
Hey all, new to the s650 platform , coming from s550. I've had the car just under 3 weeks, and unfortunately with my luck a deer came running out right in front of me and I hit the poor thing. Thankfully got video of it but that's irrelevant.
