The 401A package comes with turn signals.
But if you choose Recaro seats you will not have turn signals. It's something Ford chose to do.
If you don't have Recaro seats and you have the 401A package you have the turn signals.
Yeah that's the thing. I can't pull the door panel until I take the car with me to Europe in a couple of months. I'm on a small Island whit no dealerships and no worthy mechanic that knows about these cars.
That means, just buy it, try it, and if it doesn't work, there should be another way to get it working by sending it to a body shop. There is no other option but to do so.
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
I'm so 0 technical that even this doesn't say anything to me. I have 0 experience in electricity and all the technical words.
But from reading the tone of the message this means that I can't use mirrors with integrated turning signals and have it working...
Today I got a wiring diagram based on my VIN. The person who looked it up for me said that the wires for the turn signal are there and it should be working plug and play.
Anybody has knowledge how to read this diagram? For me this is 100% Chinese
But still I'm interested in what you are up to, even tho I'm doing the 'easier' conversion.
I'm still searching for a picture of the harness that I have in my car to see what cables are in there, cause the Ford Oem parts and ecat are not saying the same thing.
I'm getting even more confused.
I found a Mustang 2024 side mirror with turning signal and it has part number
pr3b-17682-cb54wf
The only mirrors with turning signals I know on the 2024 Mustang are PR3Z-17683-B and PR3Z-17682-B
I never seen this part number before.
Also the OEM Ford Parts...
Below are my side mirrors with part number:
Left mirror assembly: PR3Z-17683-B
Right mirror assembly: PR3Z-17682-B
These side mirrors do not have turning signals.
What I found strange is that Ford OEM part mentions "signal" in the details. What do they mean with that? Do they mean the wiring...
I think you still don't understand what I'm saying. They should keep the basic proportions. That's not the issue. The issue is that I can swap my door handles, door grips, shift selector and many other parts with an S550 owner. The parts are identical!
Thanks. Maybe the best thing to do is ask for a picture of the harness from the dealership or something to see if the wire is there.
I just looked up the harness from the S550 just as a reference to understand.
I know that the Premium S550 comes with turning signals and the base without it and...
No, that's not what I mean.
Keep the car how it is, but use a new design.
Same gear selector, same arm compartiment, same door handles, same door grips and so on. That's really cheaping out.
It's either make this model GT 50k full option or make the car look like a new Mustang.
They used so many parts from the S550 that's it's not a New Mustang. So they are recycling parts but want the full amount. That's crazy.
Yeah the harness on oversea models support turn signals due to their country regulations. In the US they don't have have that law so Ford was not going to spend extra money for 'nothing'.
All have to do with money lol
