  1. Engine dress up. Is it too much?

My Mustang wording are polised stainless steel letters with adhesive on the back, an ebay purchase when I first got the car.
  2. Engine dress up. Is it too much?

I did something similar with the strut Tower covers and engine cover. I also did a few things for the trunk as a display if I go to a actual car show.
  3. Hey Ford!

This ^^^^, I am very much afraid is true.
  4. Hey Ford!

In the year 2025, I cosider a delay of over 3 months to be intolerable. The plant runs basically part time, and a dealership employee, I dom't buy any opf the bullshit excuses that Ford gives . The option package thing I KINDA get, but don't like being forced into a $60K car just to get a few...
  5. Trying to choose a license plate.

I am in Houston and used to know Dallas... sounds like things have changed!
  6. Trying to choose a license plate.

...and Dallas and Houston will have one with a titty dancer on it!
  7. Trying to choose a license plate.

Well, I am partial to one of those...
  8. Whipple and Resale Value

A GT500 is a factory hot rod, not a regular car that someone has hot rodded. I agree on them holding value though. I can tell you from what I see at the dealership, they are babied. We'v ehad some buyers pick them up in an enclosed trailer and take them straight to their garages, with no PDI...
  9. Whipple and Resale Value

I'd avoid a hopped up used car like the plague. It MAY have been well treated, but there is no way to know that, and I would not take the chance, regardless of price. If you go into it without worrying about resale, and to just enjoy the car, have at it.
  10. UPR vs. J&L Catch Cans

I've had both and can't see any difference other than mild appearance changes. I don't know that it matters. What's the most important is that you actually run one.
  11. Suspension and torque to yield bolts and reuse

At the dealership level, on a warranty repair, Ford requires one time used parts to be charged on the repair order or they will not pay for the repair. The general consensus is the reason they do this is because these one-time use parts all come with thread sealer already on them, and they don't...
  12. First time owner and looking for a deep tone exhaust

I seconded the axle-back mentioned. I put an h pipe on my car and like the sound but wanted a bit more. All of the axle-backs I saw were really expensive but I finally settled on one from NXT. It's full stainless with quad tips for which I trimmed out my bumper valance. It was $450 and the car...
  13. 2024 Mustang GT warm start extended crank

So battery 101, the battery provides the energy to cause the starter to engage and turn over or crank the engine. A weak or bad battery will cause a slow crank, no crank or crank then shut off. The OP is describing a condition where the engine will crank or turn over, but not start for a...
  14. 2024 Mustang GT warm start extended crank

Says my 47 years in the car business. Extended crank is turning over without starting, like a car thats out of gas. You won't get that with a weak battery, that is a won't crank condition.
  15. 2024 Mustang GT warm start extended crank

An extended crank has nothing to do with a battery.
  16. 2024 Mustang GT warm start extended crank

I did a quick search for TSBs and SSMs, nothing related to this issue.
  17. Dealer attempted to fix some paint defects on the hood of our new S650 but now there appears to be streaks in the clear coat. What caused this?

In 47 years in the dealership business, I've had ONE guy work for us as a detailer that was worthy of the name. Our makready dept now consists of a contract company that washes cars for the lot and for delivery and thats it. I have customers ask about detailing or paint correction, and...
  18. Wind Noise

I, on the other hand, like the Continentals for normal use. I have 12K miles on them and no unusual wear. I hated the Pirelli P Zero Neros they used to use. 47 yeas in the car business and I an still amazed at what customers like and don't like. No criticism onf anyone here, just an observation.
  19. Can I put this spoiler on my non-performance GT?

I put the pp spoiler on my grabber blue car and painted it to match, and have had a ton of comments on it. I just don't like black stuff on cars unless they're also black
