I worked for Ford for quite a few years and while I was there there was a law passed around the artistry of components. Around 2014-15 I forget the exact terms, but this is why we get things that we call Easter eggs. They put copyrighted font items, logos, etc. on the car in conspicuous...
@MCS , thanks for the reply.
Iāve just started doing some performance mods. Started with exhaust. Obviously nothing ground breaking. Iām āperceivingā a different torque curve even under 50% acceleration. Just has my brain turning thinking about how was the car driven the for the 41 miles...
Iāve done a little searching around the interwebs and canāt find what I am looking for. Curious if there is a benefit when adding performance mods to the car such as exhaust, whipple, etc. to clear the adaptive transmissions tables. I have FORscan and can do it, just curious if there Is a...
I have experienced the same thing. My scenario goes like thisā¦. Cold start up in my driveway, select sport or track mode, very lightly pull out of the driveway at say 10% throttle, and the car sputters and stumbles going into 2nd, and 3rd. 1st gear seems to hang in there for ever sometimes...
No idea. Worth cleaning the engine bay I assume. Most musty smells come from a closed system getting cold then hot then cold again in cycles such as the A/C duct and condenser area. May have a dead animal or something outside in the engine bay or under that car. Check in front of the radiator...

A dealer will not use FORscan. FORscan is used primarily by enthusiasts like ourselves and some independent shops. They use official Ford diag tools and software that is much more...
I donāt have the clock issue but I did some FORSCAN updates (180 speedo and show gear in D) and my colors reset to stock. I didnāt change them back. About 4-5 drives later, it switched back on its own to my color settings. š¤·āāļø
No idea where that is but Ford wouldnāt deliver or sell those cars to a dealer, much less a customer. They may have informed the dealer that the vehicles were damaged or just replaced them with new builds.
Nothing to do with getting fuel. It is an issue with your AVE. Pinched wire, melted wire, short, or solenoid itself. If your AVE is using the OEM valves go to the dealer. If it is using MBRP, you will need to contact them. Let us know what you find.
Had to leave my ride at the airport, so I picked up a rental eco vert in Phoenix this week. Went up to Dobbins Lookout. šø. Included a great twisty both up and back down.
Letās call it $2.00 a quart. They arenāt using Motorcraft on first fill. Multiply that by 10,000 cars. $20K. Not worth the labor on 10 warrantable engine repairs averaging 2K of labor and parts each. Manufacturing yes, but major $ loss compared to the $ gain.
