It’s not just the whiteness of the FX wheels…..the design on the wheels looks to have about 40 little holes on each wheel. Our gray wheels can be cleaned in about 30 seconds each…the FX wheels look a LOT harder to clean than that…
I don’t know how the FX package is going to be configured. You will probably be able to order it as a standard alone option, and only order the PP1 OR 2 as an added package with the Brembos. Cannot speak to how much dust the base brakes produce though.
I love the Brembo brakes, but they produce a LOT of solid black brake dust that coats all of the wheels. This is what two paper towels looked like after cleaning the wheels after a 150 mile road trip today. Can’t imagine how bad this would have looked on white wheels. I think we have the...
Well, yes, coating them would be one way to make cleaning them easier, but the spoke design on those white wheels looks incredibly difficult to coat OR clean them! The dark grey wheels on ours are wonderful for mostly hiding the amount of brake dust from the Brembo’s soft pads.
Jalopnik’s review today….got to say , can you imagine how bad the Brembo’s very black brake dust is going to be on the white wheels? Going to be a disaster trying to keep up with!

Just one word….FUGLY!!! This could spell the death of the Mustang and what an unfortunate joke to die for…..my gosh, Ford what in the F were you thinking of?
They stick great in the corners, but at over $1,200 to replace them, I am just wondering how long they will last us…..I like to drive curvy country roads. No burnouts, PSI always checked, ETC…..
One of the senior service techs recently told me that the TMS on the Mustang is only accurate to within + or - 3 PSI……….that means if your dash is telling you the correct 31 PSI, your tires could be at only 28 PSI or as high as 34!! Driving at highway speeds could get that upper figure to...
Make sure you know about all of the restrictions for washing those expensive ceramic coatings….no more drive through or hand-held wand car washes, and only the right PH balanced soap can be used to hand wash it.
I’ve been using TLC (The Last Coat) for years….after switching from F1 due to its complete lack of durability. Been very pleased with the TLC’s durability, but found it a bit greasy to put on. Decided to try NEXGEN due to its 5 star reviews, great videos and it being on sale for 40% off………got to...
Washington state has the 3rd highest average gas prices in the USA, right behind California and Hawaii!….I know, I paid for the GT’s HP, so why not get it all the time, right? How much HP is lost if I used 87 octane? Premium here is 50 to 60 cents more per gallon and it hurts, just a little each...
I’ve got beautiful bright red Brembo brakes and the REALLY powdery black dust generated by the pads is discoloring them……..short of taking off the wheels, can I spray some Simple Green on them before washing the car without harming the pads?
The ones I really object to (and MAY try to get in front of..) are the diesel Ram’s that roll coal at you when you are on their exhaust side……RUDE!
This is our first GT in a few years, and I had forgotten how every Ram Truck, Dodge Challenger and Charger (even the V6’s!), and ALL of the riced out imports have to rev in first gear next to me at red lights when they take off……nothing to prove here with 486 HP, you know?
