As you guys are mods here, you should both be ashamed as to how you treat members here. I figured my reporting of the tenor of yours and his posts was doing no good exactly for this reason……….no need to use your “humor’ to reply to me…….I am out of here!
You know that’s not true…..why is your default position here on the forum (which is predominately friendly and welcoming) to make fun of and insult people? You need a reboot, or just please ignore my posts, PLEASE?
Well, all I was really saying is that I no longer NEEDED the nearly 500 HP GT, and originally thought that EB HP would be enough for me now……and probably would have been if I could have put up with the sounds they made…..OK?….hope you can understand this and not continue to make fun of people...
I have to drive out of my retirement community in quiet mode, but as soon as I am out of the gate, one of the louder modes is first choice in the dash. NORMAL seems just right most of the time. Love the popping and burbles when taking your foot off the gas and coasting up to red lights…
I still occasionally turn off the traction control if I feel more brave than usual…..no traction control on and playing with the paddles enables the car to exit corners on full boil….
Well, I loved sliding my 5.0’s a bit with the throttle coming out of corners, and quickly catching it with counter steering……seems a a bit of a shame to me not to be able to do that now so often, as I have Parkinson’s (thanks for asking). Also, believe it or not, insurance rates actually go up...
Well, initially, because I am 73, and my reaction times are not what they used to be, you know? I ended up making the right decision once I heard an EB under the whip….not pleasant to my ears at all.
Your know that is NOT what I said or meant…..I WAS trying to be kind as to how the EB sounded compared to the great sound of the 5.0…..why are you so……..oh, never mind…..I see you bought the GT as well, so you already know what I was saying……
We started looking for another GT convertible about 3 or 4 months ago. We originally intended to try to see what the EcoBoost had to offer. We must have driven 5 or 6 of them — everything from a used base model to a loaded Premium new one……we found we just flat missed the 5.0 ESPECIALLY with the...
One of the nicest compliments I’ve received for our Mustang was from the driver of a C8 in the same color combination as ours. I gave him a nice one too, as we looked so GREAT next to each other in downtown traffic!
You know, folks? In traffic, part of it could be them seeing that huge new glass computer/dash staring back at the driver……..especially on convertibles like ours? When they first see a Mustang, they do not expect that at all, I think.
The concept I posted above is projected (big guessing game here) to be a hybrid?? That could be some interesting HP numbers on top of the current 486? 4WD for the dig off the line anyone?
Lighter would be good (and faster?)…..our 2024 convertible GT Premium ‘vert weighs over 4,000 pounds and feels it sometimes in tight corners. Really glad we have the PP to tighten things up a bit. Lighter and NOT faster……..hmm……remember the Ford Probe and Mustang II?……..I’d rather not! However...
Good point…………it could very well be that Ford has kept the overall concept of the original profile for the 1% that love our cars? Our leftover 2024 took our breath away the first time we saw it a couple of months ago. If you are not opening the door to the garage to say goodnight to your car...
