They have a bunch of legacy names they could use. Even one that was already a 4 door alternative to a Stang historically.
Fords just doing mental gymnastics
I do pay attention, it wasnāt a good idea for Dodge considering they thinned out their lineup and trucks being a big seller in the U.S., they shouldāve kept it under the Dodge umbrella. Mustang is already a niche product.
A similar situation would be if F150 became its own brand, it would...
Iām just saying with public perception they could get away with a lot of different things with a Falcon!
I like them too, they had something special about them for sure. Just makes sense to bring it back since itās history is intertwined with the Mustangās.
Like I said on the other thread, just reintroduce the Falcon. A 4 door Mustang was what the Falcon became anyways with a following.
You can have a Falcon Raptor, Raptor R, maybe use the EcoBoost V6 and so on without people complaining.
Thatās why I always thought the Mustang had a higher ceiling. GM for example will handicap any performance model if it starts stepping the Vetteās toes and Dodge is, well Dodge.
I still think itās best suited for a new car that is known to be that. It feels like theyāre watering down the...
They just need to reintroduce a different nameplate in my opinion if they start adding doors. Up until recently (and even still in some cases) people see the Mustang as the long hood, short deck coupe. lol. The Falcon after some time was essentially a Mustang 4 door that could do well.
I never...
I agree with everything you said, especially we donāt have much info to go off of.
But I will say with the GTD, Ford expanded what a Mustang could be and itās almost as if the Shelby name pigeon holes them in a way⦠canāt really explain it.
I think AWD as a special variant on a new chassis would be interesting, but on the S650 it doesnāt sound exciting. I would imagine it being compromised and crazy heavy.
Shelby American owns it all I believe but they license things out to Ford. 2nd generation Shelby GT350 (2011) was in fact a modified 5.0 GT from Shelby American for example, which is the same ethos for the original cars.
Just weird now because the Ford Performance cars are so good.
