If they wanted simplicity (and to stay away from any snake imagery) they could’ve just brought back SVT badging for Ford Racing vehicles.

In a recent interview with Vaughn they went over the idea of a “off road” Mustang (which was strange because wasn’t that shown at the dealer meeting?) and Vaughn said he (RTR) has an idea for it or something like that. If that’s the case I wonder if some of those things are scrapped or reworked.

Ford should make a sedan regardless, but it comes down to marketing. If you can make a product with less backlash, go for it.

Al Oppenheiser, who just recently retired, was the head of development. Dude was the Dave Pericak of Chevy and made sure in all the interviews that his intention was to go after the Mustang. I remember when the Boss 302 returned, right after GM answered with the Z/28, then the GT350 followed...

Vaughn commented on the article too trying to explain the Spec 3 ethos. lol. They just need to offer a better tire and make the necessary upgrades with it. Especially if he wants to do the whole “RTR’s are about fun and making them whatever you want them to be.” thing.

💯 We got some great improvements/variants when Camaro came back the first time. Besides it’ll force them to make better decisions instead of throwing whatever at the wall and hoping it sticks.

My guess is CT5/Blackwing will stay with Caddy like it was reported. CT4 will just be rebadged as a 4-door Regal/GS (maybe GNX with surge of popularity and posts from Buick). Then a Camaro would be a CT4 2 door with a V8 essentially. That way they have a flagship performance vehicle covering...

I’m happy the sales are up. Funny how you don’t see headlines about the Mustang outselling the Mach E. You would actually think it’s crazier that a 2 door sports car outsells a suv.

Yeah basically trying to revitalize that variant specifically. Not a bad idea for them. Ford could do well with that in different scenarios.

Farley’s son being a fan of Falcon utes is interesting in itself. Kid likes funky performance vehicles.

I think going back to a smaller size would help them. It could be a little bigger to accommodate the rear seats, but Mustang is turning into a porker.
