The metal pinch welds run the entire length of both sides of the car starting where these holes are. If the holes are not patched the sand and gravel will build up and the rain water and water from puddles will enter the area and saturate the sand and gravel. It will not dry out easily at all...
This is the only $94 (free shipping) repair on the market since production of the 24 started in 2023. It will be interesting to see if this is resolved for the 2025 model year.
My RTV adhesive sealent should be her in 2 days from Amazon for my peremiter bead for a final secondary seal on the patch. The fabricator did a excellent job manufacturing the patch.
Followed the instructional Video to patch up the holes behind the front tires in the fender well on my new 24 GT. I have some black RTV adhesive sealent on order to put a small bead along the peremeter edges of the patch. I took a bunch of photos of dry fitting the patch with the supplied foam...
I see there is a price drop for the one I bought. 53 bucks.

You may want to research how to hook up a battery tender due to the car having a BCM (Battery Management Module). If you hook the tender up straight to the battery it can mess with how the BCM monitors the battery. Here's how I installed my tender after researching it on this site...

The PPF has been on the white car for over 13 years. It has "yellowed" slightly. It's not very noticeable unless I point it out. If you zoom in on the photo I posted in my 1st reply you will notice it and this fender photo. EXTRA PHOTOS FOR EYE CANDY.
Last month I had xpel installed on my new GT. Front bumper, Partial hood, Partial front fender, pillars, 10 inches on roof, mirrors, door cups and door edges. Cost including WA state tax was 1500 bucks. Same company did my 2009 Shelby (still own it) in 2011 and it was 800 bucks back then.
I have a couple older tenders from Griots Garage called battery tender III and it did not work. The charger just got really warm. See photo for what did not work for me.
The 2A version is 20 bucks less expensive from what I see:

To secure the end I drilled a very small hole in the hard plastic edge trim and inserted a super small zip tie into it. Then pushed the plastic trim piece back into place and tightened the zip tie into the auto conduit. Now when the hood is open it still looks stock.
To clean this install up I installed some 1/4" flame proof auto wire conduit made by DORMAN. Now it all blends in. I also noticed the charger is now full green after 6 hours.
My GT had 23 miles on it when I picked it up 6 weeks ago. It was built in April 2024 and took a while to be delivered. Then it sat another 10 days in my garage due to a warranty issue. Now that I can drive it, I wanted to make sure the battery was fully charged. These cars have so many...
