You’re referring to the release hold. Yeah, I know, It seems like it’s one thing or another. Realistically though, we really are in different times than before covid. Who knows why they had a release hold. Lots of moving parts to run a car company.
If the dealer has no allocation then why would Ford accept the order from them in the first place? Ford confirming a dealer order directly with a customer that they have concurrently chosen not to fulfill before being placed is bad form if true. From a customer service perspective, it bears...
If FORD sends the confirmation, then FORD has accepted the order. Ford isn’t likely to accept orders from a dealer that doesn’t have allocation and then send a customer confirmation. That doesn’t make sense. Not receiving your Bronco for three years that sucks. Most likely due to the supply...
You’re good to go. I don’t believe Ford would’ve accepted, nevermind confirmed, the dealerships order if they had no allocation. Now you’ll get another email once it gets a VIN assigned. It’s exciting and painful to wait but you’re in!
I would guess the answer to be quarterly as that usually follows corporate metrics. I imagine they have promotions for over production at times or volume goals.
You get an email from Ford when the order is placed in their system on your behalf. If you didn’t get that yet, then the question would be how long will it take before your order is entered into the system?.
Unless the dealer is a front for some other nefarious business, there’s no reason they don’t want to sell you a car. That’s their business. Selling cars. It doesn’t matter how many allocations they have as long as they have one for you. How many allocations they have isn’t really anyone’s...
Realistically though, isn’t it that all tablet computers kind of look the same except for size or shape? I mean, once a manufacturer decides to join the trend and place a tablet on the dash, in a way, all cars become somewhat diluted in identity and more homogeneous looking.
If you like, I have a couple of IPads I’m not using and I’m sure it won’t be a problem finding someone to crease the back of your car for you. :like: LOL.
Let’s see those cars in garages! Not mine, but I’m excited for those who can appreciate the new design.
Problems happen when you take a classic car with predisposed history, expectations and fans and you try to create something new that is supposed to appeal to a different audience. Maybe this departure justified a name change away from Mustang in the sense we’ve known it.
