The non PP GT's get Continental tires, the PP cars get Pirelli PZeros, not the winter or all season version either.
Pirelli specifically says that if they have been stored below 40ºF they must be slowly returned to a temperature above 40ºF for at least 24 hours before they can be mounted or...
It's the same issue for GT PP and DH.
The tire manufacturer says specifically not to mount summer only tires in cold temperatures, so Ford doesn't schedule them in the winter months. They can't gamble on what the weather might be during those times.
I ordered 1/22 and I got the build date today just like you. Ford doesn't schedule performance pack cars between Dec and March so the order of who ordered when doesn't really matter.
DTE is based on the number of gallons remaining and the average MPG, and if the result is a decimal than 1, it is always truncated. It's possible if your average MPG was 0 because you hadn't moved since resetting it that a DTE of 0 would have been mathematically correct in this scenario.
I used C, specifically a flavor called MISRA-C which is a variation of AUTOSAR, when programming the modules your mystery friend is trying to figure out how to reprogram - but I'm sure ya'll already knew that much.
I have the same EXACT car on order except A10, been waiting several weeks in silence. I'm wondering if it has something to do with it being a PP car. DH PP cars don't get built or scheduled between 12/1 and 3/1 but no one has confirmed that for the GT.
Logic would dictate that you would contact your mystery friend and say that you shared the project on the forum and there is some interest and people have some questions, so that he could join and answer or at minimum pass the info to you to answer.
But instead you just went for the haha react...
My son is 17 and has a manual GTO, I taught him how to do this with the e-brake so you don't fry the clutch, which is actually exactly how the car does it also.
That will be the first hurdle you have to overcome, the line lock is part of the ABS module but all it does is hold the solenoid closed, with no brake pressure it won't do anything at all. Someone has to depress the brake pedal in order to create the pressure needed to hold the car in place...
