I've had a number of manual cars, still have one currently, but the advances in auto technology in the past 10 years combined with the less than stellar rep that the M6 has made it a very easy choice.
We have it on our Expedition, it's a love hate relationship.
It's nice for things like drive throughs or city driving, it's annoying as hell trying to creep through a parking lot or in slow stop/go traffic.
You can remote start the car from anywhere in the world. I have been in South Carolina and started my truck that was in Las Vegas, NV.
You can also schedule starts at specific times and days.
I had a 6th gen ZL1 that I sold recently and I have a 24 on order.
I was looking at a GT350 but the performance numbers vs the 24 GT are nearly identical and for the same money I can get a GT with a Whipple, which is what I'll be doing as soon as I get the VIN.
The largest difference to me...
Something worth considering for anyone with a light color car, especially white. PPF WILL change the color, it gives a white car a dingy yellow tint, it's faint but still noticeable. I've gone through just about every film you can find at any price point on my ZL1 and it was still there.
I placed the order at MSRP but I didn't care, the owner of the dealership is a friend of mine and we have bought over a dozen cars from them so they always take care of us. I'm sure it will be taken care of once the car gets here.
This matter is subjective and it's going to come down to how desirable they are.
IMO, the DH doesn't add enough difference over the GT to warrant the extra cost, so I wouldn't see them holding their value as well, despite being less common. I could be totally wrong though, it's a matter of...
If you're worried about a failure, there aren't that many parts to it. There is a valve in side the exhaust that is stainless steel so it will outlast the car, and an electronic actuator that bolts to it which is relatively cheap and easy to replace.
I ordered my car with it.
