I just use Android Auto anyhow, so I the factory system doesn't matter to me.

I've had to many cars to count and been in several communities, and the Mustang community seems to be exclusive to keeping it in the family. Same stuff happened with the Fox vs SN95 guys, the 4v vs 2v guys, and the S197 S550 guys.

I had it on my F-150 for years and it never bothered me or drove me nuts. To be honest I don't see why people get so worked up about it.

You can disable it with forscan, in addition to it disabling itself in various drive modes.
