The hate of gas vs electric is like hating left or right wing.
Both have merit. Neither is perfect.
Arguing you chose a EV for the environment is silly. They have a much higher environmental impact to create. Saying you chose a gas engine because EVs have a bigger environmental impact is silly...
For those wondering. The form side marker lights are amazing. The factory ones look…. Dated when they are on. It only illuminates the very bottom of the light.
Form lights fix that. And they are pretty cheap.
Took it to the dealer to get the headliner fixed. The driver side headliner doesn’t mate up under the door seal. It’s like 1/8” short of even touching the seal.
Also getting her first oil change.
You’ll need some trim removal tools, like $10 on Amazon.
7mm
8mm
10mm sockets
Long and short ratchet extensions.
A LONG flat head screwdriver.
Zip ties
The following are not necessary…. But made the process a lot easier on the fingers:
7mm ratcheting wrench.
Painters tape
Universal joint...
The 7 lights I replaced were not hard, just a little tedious.
Front 2 markers, super easy. 5 min per side.
Rear tire markers, 45 minutes per side. The rear markers and reverse light took about an hour.
So 2.5-3 hours.
Again, not difficult, just tedious.
Ok guys, enough good talk.
Time to derail again.
In front of the front tires are little air deflectors.
I hit a chunk of semi tire and lost the one on my drivers side.
What the hell are these called and where can I get a replacement?
I could just plop an inverter that plugs into the cig port in there. But space is at a premium. Also they look tacky to me. I like things to be clean and look as oem as possible.
It’s not a necessity, it’s just a want. ❤️
Well now that you kids got that plane and horse debate settled and poor sapphire got banned, I’ll ask another question 🤣
So the cowl hoods force air off the windshield down into the the cowl and let heat escape while at idle and slower speeds, if I’m understanding correctly.
The vents allow...
Sorry guys, I should have been clearer on everything.
Let me start with, I hate electrical shit….
When I was 17 I was working at a Tyson’s plant and was wiring up a new machine and someone flipped the power back on. I had my grubby lil dick beaters on a 480 line at that time and the only thing...
Sorry lol I dunno where the he’ll I got 125 🤣
I mean I wanna replace the cigarette lighter outlet with a 110v plug.
I want to keep it as close as possible.
Finished up my custom antitheft device.
Made the auto shifter look like a manual. Hopefully they don’t know wtf is happening when the can’t find first 🤣🤣
Also installed a perforated leather shift boot from redline.
Stitching is… subpar and the boot avoid have been 1/4-1/2” longer. But...
My honest answer is I like the auto better.
I love my adaptive cruise control lol.
So while yes, the manuals can come with the adaptive cruise, it’s not as robust? as in the automatic being able to just set the cruise in slow traffic and have it take me from 15mph back up to 75mph and back down...
