  1. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

I really love the front end styling way more than the regular S650. Very cool. I understand the canards/diveplanes improve front down force, but on some cars they look really dumb - Dodge Viper ACR comes to mind. The GTD looks like the bottom canards are partially built into the body of the...
  2. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

I agree with you, but as long as we are talking theoreticals - a smaller all steel car that weighs 300 or 400 lbs less because it is smaller would be a lot more in the general spirit of past Mustangs. If the car is smaller and lighter, everything is smaller and lighter. Suspension, brakes...
  3. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

Not sure I'm aware of what the C8 ZR1 is. Is that a future product? The Z06 is probably going to be marginally faster than the GTD, though. Or at least very near to it. And a lot cheaper.
  4. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

Yes I agree you are correct that the schmancy add-ons are a big part of the $300K price. Do you think a mid engine Mustang should be all steel body with cheap iron rotors and basic equipment on it? Who is buying all these mid engine Mustangs that probably cost $120k each? It's not a Corvette...
  5. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

I really like the look of it in general. The vents over the wheel are a little much, but I expect they are functional. In my opinion it's an improvement over the regular Mustangs and DH. The front end is beautiful.
  6. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

Serious question: if a Mustang where the major changes are suspension and a transaxle ends up in a model that Ford is charging $300,000 for, what do you think the cost would be for a Mustang that would require major changes to every single panel and complete re-engineering of everything? A mid...
  7. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

It's insane to me that literally yesterday I posted on M6G in a thread about mid engine Mustangs that Ford should make a front engine car with front SLA and a transaxle. That's all the ingredients for a really great driver's car with 50/50 weight balance. I think my post was deleted, but if...
  8. Confirmed: European Dark Horse Mustang Gets 449 Horsepower

Yeah that is nice. I've never been anywhere that didn't have 91, but sometimes it's tough to find 93. Nah. No way, bro.
  9. Confirmed: European Dark Horse Mustang Gets 449 Horsepower

I understand the theory of how the DI/PI combination works. It's certainly better than DI alone from an engine life standpoint. But it also increases cost and complexity of the engine (and emits particles/more pollution). How long the engine will last depends a lot on implementation and the...
  10. Confirmed: European Dark Horse Mustang Gets 449 Horsepower

Gonna have to disagree with this somewhat. Air quality is very important in my opinion. It impacts everyone (eventually). Now, I do think that it's stupid and lame to write gas engine regulations that cause manufacturers to use direct injection on NA engines. Direct injection sucks. Yes, it...
  11. 2024 Mustang GT/EcoBoost Performance Track Testing: 0-60 MPH, 1/4 Mile, Braking & Skid Pad

Yes, hence why I own a 2017. I was really hoping Ford would go back to the more fun MT ratios with the new cars, but I understand why they didn't. Definitely less gear calms the car down and makes it easier to drive, especially at slow speeds. Yes, it's somewhat of a test of how sticky the...
  12. Mustang Dark Horse Docu-Film by Savagegeese Incoming. Any Questions?

I think digital is cheaper than good quality analog now. So my opinion is the accountants drove the change and marketing was enlisted to explain it away. I'm not sure what the majority of Mustang buyers think, but myself I prefer physical gages and controls over digital. It's mostly because...
  13. Mustang Dark Horse Docu-Film by Savagegeese Incoming. Any Questions?

Thank you for doing this. It's very helpful. I love your videos as well and hope you stay with it. I think if you don't have enough fun new cars to review, it would really be great if you did reviews/comparisons of some older or even modified cars compared to new or just reviewing older stuff...
  14. Intake Manifold Technical Overview (2024 Mustang GT 5.0L Coyote Engine)

It's nice to get to see an S650 intake. Pretty bad fail in the video not having any of the existing manifolds available to compare it to. Even just presenting some measurements for comparison of the runner sizes would have been nice. Here's a link to describe what the IMRC valves do...
  15. Dark Horse run at Goodwood FOS

The Mustang driver was definitely taking it easy, but an Alpine is probably going to corner pretty effortlessly by comparison. The Alpine is ~2,400? lbs vs the DH at 3,800 or so (edit, sorry I got a few different numbers on that Alpine weight). Just an INSANE weight difference between the big...
  16. Hate to Burst your Bubble.

I'm sure it sucked royally and I hope you don't have to go through it again. I would be extremely surprised if it happens with this light redesign of the Mustang. I've test driven a couple Broncos and I thought they were great. I'm not an SUV person, but I really liked them. Are you happy...
  17. Hate to Burst your Bubble.

My wife tried to order a Bronco and the local dealer said, "No, Ford's not accepting orders because they are about 2 years behind on some of the vehicles they promised to people." This was last year late summer early fall. So, if you want to think it's the same as the Bronco - let me know in...
  18. Hate to Burst your Bubble.

Sure I know nothing about FRAP internal stuff, but come on, this is nothing like the Bronco. The Bronco had those plastic hard tops that had/have (not sure) big issues. There's nothing like that in the Mustang. The Mustang has mostly minor changes from the previous model and sure there will...
  19. Engine additives?

Good to know - like I said, I have no idea if the Slick 50 helped or not, but that engine got a single treatment of it probably with 70K miles on it at the time. It was run out of oil about 100K miles later and it continued to work great for many miles after that. Can you prove the Mazda had...
