  1. Car & Driver - 2024 Ford Mustang Ecoboost

    4.5 0-60 - wow. That's awesome.
  2. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

It would be so awesome if they would make a "normal guy" version with no carbon, smaller or no wing and a Coyote powerplant with a manual transaxle. Even though I realize it would still be really expensive, I would seriously consider buying. I think they could sell volumes of something like that.
  3. 2024 S650 Saleen 302 White Label Debuts November 16th

I like the exterior appearance mods. To me the car looks cleaner and better integrated than the stock effort. Some of the S650s are very busy design wise.
  4. Dealers near me already discounting

The cost of carrying inventory is extremely high right now due to high interest rates. Typically dealers don't buy the cars or own them. They are essentially paying for a loan on the car while it sits on the lot. So there is a lot of motivation to move cars fairly quickly. Plus, it's hard to...
  5. New 2024 Mustang FP800S Ford Performance Street Packages Add Power, Suspension and Aero

Huh, I love the wheels. I think they look great. But I can completely see wanting to purchase a partial and not the entire package. I agree hopefully they will sell the major parts separately. Is this a lead-in to a EB vs. V8 partial throttle racing post?
  6. S650 1K mile/ 1-month owner review from an S197

I bought my 2018 Fiesta ST for more than $4,000 under MSRP. It had less than 500 miles on it and it was "used", but it had only been owned by dealerships. Good car, but most people in the US don't like small, sporty cars. That's an example of what can happen. If people don't buy a car at...
  7. S650 1K mile/ 1-month owner review from an S197

People who are buying new cars faster than the manufacturers make them are what drive ADMs. If nobody bought the new cars, ADMs would go away and dealers would sell for under MSRP.
  8. Throttle House: Dark Horse Mustang vs 392 Challenger vs Camaro ( Drag Race , Roll Race & Track Times )

It would be interesting, but if the new PP1 is anything like the previous versions, the suspension is so soft that I doubt the car would work that well on track anyway. Wow, that was a very detailed and well thought-out response. Thank you for taking so much time. I do appreciate that you...
  9. Throttle House: Dark Horse Mustang vs 392 Challenger vs Camaro ( Drag Race , Roll Race & Track Times )

I was surprised that it was faster than the ZL1 1LE, plus it seemed like the DH wasn't incredibly stiff and uncomfortable like the ZLE. And I didn't hear a million rocks and pebbles thrown by the tires pinging off the wheel wells of the DH like you do in ZLE videos. I'm not sure whether the...
  10. Is MotorTrend right about the new S650?

Dumbest move ever. The Tremec gearing is no better, though.
  11. Is MotorTrend right about the new S650?

That review irritated me so much I couldn't watch the entire thing. I think the S650 looks good. Definitely an improvement over the 2018+ GT styling. I used to like Lieberman, but everything I've seen him in for the last couple years has been terrible. I really like the new Mustang colors...
  12. Mustang GTD spotted in the wild!

I love the ACR based on what it is capable of, but I would feel pretty goofy driving it around on the street. Hopefully the GTD will receive similarly glowing reviews.
  13. Mustang GTD spotted in the wild!

Yes, prices are high and I don't think cars need to have so many airbags and all the other expensive features, some regulated, some not. I'd also love a smaller Mustang that doesn't weigh 4,000 lbs. I think big companies often want regulations to serve as a barrier to entry. The problem is...
  14. Mustang GTD spotted in the wild!

IMO it needs a manual transaxle, get rid of the carbon fiber and extra racey BS and call it the DH. MSRP should be around 70-80K. The DH should have been the GT - with normal GT prices starting in the low 30s. But what do I know? Ford seems to still have customers interested in their new...
  15. First totaled S650 Mustang appears on Copart

Wow! That thing really got nailed! I personally would not bet on the engine/transmission being ok after that.
  16. 1 Week and I am In Love!

Congrats on the new car! I love the color. It looks great. Definitely the steering wheel cover on the older cars is cheap. I really hate mine. That's probably my biggest nit I have to pick with my car. One of these days I'll change it out, probably.
  17. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

I know - just looking at the S650 I thought maybe the big vent in the hood would improve engine cooling quite a bit. I guess maybe it does. I know I've read quite a few threads where S550s have issues with engine temperature on track.
  18. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

If the journalists really got to drive the cars hard, then maybe the DH is good. The reviews I saw of the DH it seemed like the journalists mostly got pretty limited time with the DH. I saw one where it was getting dark during the review even because they didn't have enough time. I think it's...
  19. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

That remains to be seen. We will know more once people with the DH model start doing some track driving. That's all great, but then you have a Camaro with the dumb skip shift and direct injection only engine. Yuck. I'd rather have a car with a good engine and only have to swap in some coolers.
  20. Took Delivery of my Vapor Blue 5.0 GT after 159 days.. IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!

Congrats! It looks awesome. I really like the wheels. That's a nice new style that seems unique as well as good looking.
