FWIW I just installed a FitcamX with polarizing lens, 4K front / 2K rear and love it. It was super cool watching what the mechanics did while the car was in for service! They had no idea I had a dash cam. Not sure if they have an S650 version yet though.
You really should drive a GT350 first. It's more different than a GT than you might think, and to some people not in a good way. My wife was in the passenger seat videoing my first drive in one, so I have a record of commenting something to the effect of, "you mash the pedal, and it just does...
It seems to be pretty well established at this point that the S650 does have similar lines to the Camaro. I have seen several S650's in the wild so far and at first thought it was a Camaro until getting close enough to see it was a Mustang. I am not saying that's necessarily a BAD thing; I do...
Hmm doesn't quite work that easily for all situations... depending on trade equity and such. I looked at a DH HP Tremec a few months ago and with my equity in the Mach 1 and 4,000 miles the payment was going to be more than double. The cars weren't different enough to make me want to go that...
I went through a similar exercise with my 2018 GT, modding the suspension and adding 4.09's. Then I test drove a non-HP Mach and will never forget getting back into my car and driving away and thinking holy crap does that Mach handle better. (The Tremec was really the main draw for me at...
Wow love that dyno overlay, hadnāt seen that before. Wonder why the DH seemed to show much less parasitic loss than the other two. š¤
All I know is this from C&D Lightning Lap:
2021 Mach 1 manual: 2:51.4
2024 DH automatic: 2:51.2
Virtually identical. Same car, different badges (and tires...
Hey whatever. Watch the Throttle House video where they drive them back to back and prefer the Mach. We can play that game all day. Iād agree the DH might be a little better because of the extra HP and revised steering, but wouldn't agree to āmuch betterā. At least not 29% more expensive...
Look, Iām a Mustang guy and donāt want to give the impression that Iām hating on the DH.
The problem for most of us is that in spite of the price, some people are paying it.
This has probably been discussed already but I don't feel like reading all 11+ pages so...
I peek at DH's every so often but the price keeps pushing me away.
I ordered my Mach a little over 3 years ago and the sticker was $59,010. Only options were Premium and handling package. I just priced...
I ordered the Mach 3/19/2021 and had about 15 delay emails before finally taking delivery 10/9/2021. This was even after engaging the regional Ford rep and getting my order priority bumped to 1 in May.
Some orders (even with VINs IIRC) were eventually cancelled by Ford in late 2021 and...
My wife video-ed while I test drove a 2016 GT350 and my comments were pretty much this. ^ I watch it still occasionally and hear things like "this is slow" and "can't believe I'm saying this but I'm disappointed". I've come to the conclusion that a lot of guys can be slotted into one of two...
Which is a great example of comparison and perspective. The #1 reason I bought the Mach over a GT350 was because the Mach had so much more low end torque š
Magnaride is great if you can afford it. The performance pack suspension is better than stock, but it's nothing you can't do on your own with aftermarket parts. It would probably be tough to find one without the PP but with MR though.
So I had a dealer experience where they tried to address it from both sidesā¦
Took my Mach and parked it at the showroom door and went in asking to drive the DH HP manual sitting outside. They knew I was a potential buyer but said they want to keep the miles down on it so I can drive it but...
Although I have not seen this confirmed, it would seem reasonable that the DH springs and sway bars are the same as the Mach 1. Here is a chart I put together with spring rates and sway bar sizes for various models. I currently am running the stock Mach 1 HP springs with the Steeda adjustable...
Non-HP front tires are 255/40-19, diameter is 27.03", radius 13.52".
HP front 305/30-19, diameter 26.20", radius 13.10".
So the HP front has 0.40" less ground clearance because of the tires but has a 0.40" larger wheel gap to the fender, some of which is masked by the fender lips.
Non-HP rear...
