Thanks for confirming that note on the 10 speed AT that there were no hardware changes. Now Ford should do the right thing and re-flash every S550 10 speed to this updated programming if it truly smooths out the experience. The S550 tuning on the 10 speed was atrocious...especially compared to...
spot on if you ask me except all the exterior changes from the hood vent back are pretty much Camaro except for the Pacman rear lights...that was Hyundai.
center hood vent...yep; reduced accent lines on doors...yep; thin headlights, boxier front, black backing on DH on front...yep; enhanced rear...
Ford should flash S550s with this new programming...they didn't change it mechanically at all. Compared to the Camaro, it was sloppy programming and if they fixed it, they should make it available on the S550.
Ridiculous-you were right to walk away. These cars are 45K+ now. Inexcusable. And these workers want how much for raises...pensions, 4 day work weeks?! GTFOH. My 14K Nissan Versa beater car has better QC than this...not even kidding. Compared to my wife's Kia Telluride...they are not even in the...
Don't think too much in depth on the interior upgrade because it seems pretty meager. It got better graphics...you can spin an unreal 4 mustang with your finger and I guess the Nav graphics are better. Woohoo. No PDR, no heads up, other things got cut. To show good will, I will concede the Fox...
Heads up and a PDR should have been a base part of this digital upgrade. I think those should have been in the 18 refresh considering Camaro had both of those in 16.
they threw that out in 19...guess S650 kept that penny pinching! First thing I noticed from my 16 to the Mach 1. They also got rid of the hooks on the back of headrest...I didn't use them anyways but thought that was odd too. Did S650 bring those back?
The seats surprise me the most...they look the exact same in the one S650 I have seen...couldn't sit in it though.
They could probably flash the S550 10 speed with that new programming...I have never seen anything that says the transmission changed from a mechanical standpoint.
The sound is...
I keep seeing this "interior materials are better". Admittedly, I have not sat in the interior of a new one but all of the pictures seem to look like the seats/doors/center console (90% of the interior) are all the same. I got it...they put some new screens in, but what exactly has changed on...
Seems a little more difficult than the 22-23 process. I swear this is more evidence that the dual intake coyote was headed to the Mach 1 before the EPA started all of this nonsense to decrease the emissions. Remember the rumor of the Mach 1 getting 525 HP? This mod appears to get the DH into...
I thought the best GT500 time on 0-60 was 3.3. Anyways...glad to see the Dark Horse does put down better numbers. I wouldn't trade out for it, but it gives hope for the next performance variants that might get my interest.
I warned my dealer I wouldn't take the car if they did that...it was pre-COVID insanity so that held sway then and they wanted the sale...now they would just sell it out from under you.
I will admit that is a bad ass car. Impressed to see 50/50 balance without going mid-engine like C8. I am surprised to see the 5.2 back...I hope that carries into a GT500 at a more reasonable price...I will be very interested. Hope some rich person near me buys one so I can see it at our Cars...
I am glad to see they did remember that the 21 GTs had more power. Ford wants you to forget that. They did neglect to mention the 21 mach 1 has 480 hp and all 18-21 GT/Mach had more torque than the new GT. If you argue that is negligible then so is the new GT with active exhaust HP advantage...
