He got on board with Mach E so I doubt he would care-he sold out the Mustang name to an electric grocery getter. His pedaling/getting on board the corporate train with the Mach E made me lose some respect for him honestly. He did do a great job with S550...and was involved in some of the best...
My Mach 1 is stock except for the Ford Performance Blue Filter but that was because it is washable more than any claimed performance increase. I think the S550 and S650 cars were done so well from the factory it is certainly not a bad or even understandable decision. Sure you can go Whipple and...
Yep. If I had to come out of my Mach 1, I would be in a C8. Mustangs are way too expensive now for what you get. What will the new Boss/500 run? 140K? Lol.
70+K to get a DH similar to my Mach 1?! I paid $58K for mine...brand new in April 2021. Lol. I couldn't even get the weather resistant foot mats either. No wonder the S650 isn't selling well. Good lord. At least they added an orange color back.
No these are special variants only...GT350, GT500, Mach 1, and DH. Although the 2021 base Mach E got one...always thought that was odd...probably due to just being new/first electric thing. The GT350 did a mini flat plane crank, the 500 did the mini dual scroll supercharger thing, and Mach 1 did...
Happy for you guys that you finally got this-seemed wrong not to do one for DH given the cost of the vehicle and its lineage of sorts. Seems some of you didn't know they did a similar kit for GT350, GT500, and Mach 1. I actually asked the Mustang Brand Manager if they were doing one for Dark...
S650 sales are in the tank...you probably could have argued for additional savings! I just laugh at my dealer who is still trying to get MSRP on a pair of Dark Horses that have been sitting for months.
Sad that Ford didn't sort this out on S650 after it was a common thread for S550. This is one of the things that probably would have helped sell this car...stop the hop from factory...PDR/Heads Up option from the factory.
Normal with track exhaust. Sport rev matches too much on the AT...sounds like I am trying to race people at lights and going downhill. It still irritates me they didn't allow for separate suspension selection even on the S650. I want stiffer suspension, but I don't always want the rev matching...
I agree with oppolock. People like me are who Ford needed to cater to...not the focus group types who convinced them they would buy it if it had screens etc. with zero intention or means of actually doing it. I have the means to trade and buy a new one. Heck my Ford dealer tries to put me in a...
RTR replacing Shelby? Ford has its head firmly up its own ass. They must want Mustang to die? Better off going Boss or just Cobra. Can't believe an ecoboost is the "higher performance" car they chose to show this year with sales in the toilet.
#1 Overpriced. Further down the list things like bad styling choices, no mods, and those horrible screens are dragging it down. Targeting the new generation with many of these changes...new generation can't afford these cars. Steep discounts are available on the imposter mustang from what I see...
So lame. They should have just killed it. Trying to transition these cars to EV models is dumb. If a company is hellbent on going full EV, leave behind the old nameplates and probably just prepare for the end (Jaguar anyone?). I still absolutely loathe that Mach E train wreck. Every time I see...
Didn't they change how one of the additional track coolers worked from the Mach 1 to the Dark Horse which is why it is blocked off in the DH now? The Mach 1 has both of those open.
No. All of this is opinion. I was a kid at the height of the actual poster car era when you would buy a magazine and actually get a poster. Or you would actually go to the store and buy a car poster. At the height of that poster car era, what were poster cars? Lamborghinis, Ferraris, high end...
