Looks good!
I'll be interested to hear how those fender extensions hold up compared to the ones Ford put on the HP cars. The Ford ones just don't seem to stay put very well.
Yeah, I can't see myself downgrading my DH to a GT anytime soon.
Not in anyway saying that the GT is a bad car.
I think it's a great car and everyday find myself feeling a little envious after seeing pictures of a great looking GT.
Then I remember, I have a DH!
Yes, you are reading that right.
Some pics below.
Thanks! Velcro or the 3M Dual Lock fasteners was the original plan but that would have had the cover protruding out past the fender and front valance where it wraps around the side.
Very good! Thank you for your concern!
Fortunately, the...
Well, if you use the 2-sided tape that comes installed on them, probably not very.
I peeled that off, found a couple of small, black Phillips head screws at the local auto parts store, put everything in place, drilled 2 small holes through the cover and clear plastic of the headlight, and use...
As you can see, mine are quite dark. No clue what the tint level is, they were purchased this way.
These most certainly do affect one's ability to see at night, which is why I made sure that I have a way to take them off and put them back on quickly and easily.
Nice, and glad to hear it!
I've been somewhat contemplating their Tekno 1 but haven't been able to convince myself I'll like it based solely off the pictures on their website. It would be a bit of a kick in the nuts at $850 for the color matched option just to find out it looks better hanging...
I've used both V1 Driver and Companion, both are decent apps IMO; but most of the time I don't bother using anything but Waze. Maybe it's just my particular phone, or possibly the combination of also using Waze and Spotify at the same time; but even at the 2 to 3ft my phone usually sits from...
This one appears to be a FuzzBuster II, which Car and Driver claims they found to be a Cincinnati Microwave Escort stuffed inside a FuzzBuster box when they tested a variety of radar detectors in Feb 1979.
An interesting bit of history:
After his graduation from the University of Cincinnati...
Never tested it while the Trofeo's were still on, but I took my cousin for a little ride last night and while 'inspecting' the brakes from roughly 70mph with the new Pilot Sport 4S' saw 1.34g locked on the accelerometer once we stopped. Still felt like about 10ft! 🤣
Never for an update per se, but I've sent both of my gen 1's in before for just a general 'tune up' to make sure everything was properly calibrated and working as intended. As far as I can recall, it was only like 2 weeks round trip.
How are the shifters?
I haven't kept up on any of this stuff but there was a time when they weren't so great.... albeit this was probably 15 or 20yrs ago and Uniden wasn't even barely an after thought then either.
