Mustang order update!

Have a mustang update: my sales person reached out to her boss to get an update because neither her or me have gotten an update since it was built July 1st.

It has been released from the plant and is waiting on a truck to take it to KY. Glad to know the car itself is ok and not damaged or on a quality hold of some kind.

Seems like the logistics side of it can take a long time

Between you posting about this here, FB and Reddit I feel I have an emotional investment now to ensure you get this car. Though you probably should have bought the VB Premium you posted about on Reddit imo.

Get Black wheels, swap the emblems for black ones, wrap the side mirrors and roof = Nite Pony.

The features of the Premium imo are worth it. Maybe spend 3k on top of your current MSRP OTD price.

I can't believe you can't find this spec on a lot already. Only reason I ordered mine was the PP + NP combo was hard to find and no dealer order at the time had Space Grey Premium seats.

Yeah I’ve probably over posted about it , but hey I’m excited, I’m a grown man who is finally getting his dream car so needless to say the child is me is ecstatic!!!! I also see Trevor the blue Mustang all over Facebook as well haha!!! But yeah I looked all over Florida, KY and everywhere else and I could not find the specs I wanted at all anywhere. I even had a dealer do a search for one like it and they could only find 2 in a nationwide radius and both of them had pending sales when I called.

Also the VB premium has a stop sale due to the windshield wiper recall

I get it, definitely warrants your level of excitement. It's an amazing car, you won't be disappointed.

Sounds like you're suffering from the perfect storm of inconveniences. Sucks.

Took forever to get mine too. I wanted a Premium with PP, Magnaride and Active Valve in Race Red (seems like a lot of them are 50 shades of gray). Hope yours arrives soon. It was worth the wait.

Mine got to the dealer today after showing no updates since 8/15. Hope @cbcarguy had some luck too!

Dealer emailed to let me know they are doing PDI tomorrow.

Nope!!!! On August 20th I went to check the order tracker and to my surprise it shows as delivered on August 11th…. Called my sales person and she told me it wasn’t at the dealership.

She then told me she asked her sales manager and she said it was on a truck heading down 275 in the new Boston area and it should be there by next week.

well fast forward to a week later I call and ask for an update just so I could have an idea of when I need to make flights arrangements and she said “ it’s out of fords hands now so we can’t track it”.

Thankfully I have my mom helping me out because she lives in KY where I ordered it from and she actually went to the dealership herself to ask and she was told it never left Michigan……. It had been delivered to a regional holding lot in new Boston and has been sitting on top of a transport truck ever since.

as of today September 9th I still have no Mustang and no updates on where it is and when it will arrive.

My sales person has now lied to me and the sales manager got very mean whenever I started giving push back on the phone last week and said “ it’s still the same place as it was last week” and that “ I want to sell you the car as much as you wanna buy it and I can’t sell you a car we don’t have “

My sales person has also conveniently been on test drives every time I asked her for an update and I’ve gotten met with “ I’ll call you back “ several times to never get call backs.

So yeah that’s the update on that, I found another one that’s the same exact built as what I order in another state but it cannot be sold because it has a stop sale due to a recall and I don’t wanna order another one with it being so close to the MY27 order banks opening up.

so right now I’m stuck waiting
