So I was able to find some brand new take off Illuminated Door Sills for $50ish dollars on EBay- brand new still with the blue tape on them.

Also upgraded the poor quality factory floor mats to the Ford Performance 60 Oz mats- and I can see why they are so expensive. They are more like house carpet than floor mats 🤣.

With points and 20% off code I got them for $130ish which I was happy with!

Nice upgrade for my 25 301A PP AE!

I can also confirm that on the 301A the wiring is there for the Illuminated Door Sills, however the car refuses to activate them without ForScan or FDRS/IDS.

My son is a master Ford Tech and is going to try and activate them on Monday when we have the rear window replaced under warranty.

Easy to install- however that Ford build quality shone through again… when we took off the Driver side door sill, the blue tape was still covering the double sided tacky strip that was supposed to tape the sill to the metal frame. 🤣🤣🤣🤦

Anyway- cheap upgrades for a nice result!

Very nice! I've been eyeballing those Ford Performance mats for a few weeks.

Very nice! I’ve noticed my ā€œGTā€ mats are much more plush than the standard carpet mats.

Between the door sills and mats, I think it really compliments the interior.

@Stanzi ..... I have purchased lightable door sills (like I had on my 2024 GT) for my 2026 GT that does not have them. Did your son find the FORSCAN or FDRS/IDS code required to initalize them and if so, could you please post it?

There isn’t one. The problem is while the plug is physically there- the wiring further up the spool is missing so there is, unfortunately, no way to enable it in Software.

most people are just wiring to dome lights

I decided to just leave them without illumination. Still better than stock and I don’t have to splice into wiring.

@Stanzi . First, thank you very much for the prompt reply. I really appreciate that! I am with you 100%. Like you, I ordered the RBG illuminated sill plates. My parts guy said I think you'll have to wire them into the dome light circuit , which he said was easy to do but then said - you never heard me say that and if discovered you would definately void your warranty unless you can get a case number approved by Ford. So until my basic warranty has expired I will at least enjoy the up-graded look over the crappy plastic ones I have now. BTW I am a very strong supporter of Ford but question their marketing. I would gladly have paid to up grade to the sill plates. Also the passenger side lumbar support is gone on the 2026 GT Premium, again I would have paid to have that for the boss (aka my wife) she was not impressed when we found it had been deleted.

No problem .. sorry I don’t have better news.

I agree… I just don’t get Ford skimping on some of the little things. I cancelled my 26 order and happy I found the 25 - I at least don’t have a flip mirror for the rear view.

šŸ‘€

We boss (aka Wife) also is shaking her head at normal things just missing on a near $60k MSRP Car.

that said- just have the dealer put the supercharger kit on from Ford Performance and you’ll forget all about those little things hahaha
