I have requested the admins delete this thread due to some of the responses! So many folks turned it into a MPG thread, and that was not my intention, so I just deleted my original information.

I'd say your mpg is from a lot of highway miles. With my wife driving hers back and forth to work every day, her average is up to 19.5 mpg since we got it. Last tank of gas was almost 20 mpg. It gets driven in a mix of around-town and highway driving.

On one hand 26 mpg is way better than the 16.2 I’ve overaged over the last 9k miles. On the other, that sounds like pure freeway driving which isn’t nearly as fun as twisty roads with constant elevation changes. It’s been a great 9k miles for sure.

Ill never understand why people boast about gas mileage in their GT reviews. If you're getting that kind of mileage, you aren't driving it to have fun. These cars are about smiles per gallon, not miles per gallon.

I bet that @DT-GT had a lot of smiles per gallon after watching all his scenic roadtrips that he posted on the forum.

Nice! I usually get around 21-22mpg, highway miles.
About 2 weeks from my 1 year mark, and at 16.6k miles.

Still get compliments on the ride quite often.

Depends on the driver. I had a great scenic road trip in a Dodge Stratus once. Hardly a nice sports car.

My point was that most people don't buy a GT for the gas mileage. 👍🏻
I never said you can't have a great scenic roadtrip with a regular car. Don't change the parameters.

I said you can enjoy a scenic roadtrip more with a Mustang GT than a regular car.
