Still just over $3 gallon here, and it has zero affect in driving my awesome S650.

Arizona is now number 1 gas in gas pricing increase at 37.8% over the last year. The average is now $4.70 a gallon for regular and $6.04 for diesel. Glad to see the "panic buying" is subsiding. 🙄

https://azbigmedia.com/business/arizona-ranks-no-1-for-higher-gas-prices/

And now we have two aircraft shot down and a missing crew member in Iran even though we were told "Iran’s anti-aircraft equipment was "totally eliminated" and its radar "100% annihilated"

The people that still think this is going to be over soon and gas prices will magically fall in a week or two are delusional.
Did a bird strike get ai’d into an iranian air defense?

edit: not irainin but iranian ^ corrected.

Incompetence is incompetence. What it with children and you folks?
How much shorter is the Iranian missile range now?

So, for those truly interested in the geopolitical ramifications of this war, an interesting perspective was written by Dr. Pippa Malmgren, which was forwarded to me by one of my investment research subscriptions.

I don't know if you can get past the firewall or see much of what she wrote here, but the quick takeaway (for me) was that we are quickly heading toward a true disaster with Kharg island and a position of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) if this war goes into that little place.

And there's no question that a continued or escalating war will continue to affect gas prices (as well as most commodities) in the future. In fact, I think even if the war ended today, the effects of it will last for many months.

I’ve never bought into the concept of “MAD”, mutually assured destruction. I’d love to discuss my theory with anyone here whilst driving my S650 around and burning $4.69/G 93 octane gasoline. While I notice the increase, it seems the news only focused on the tactics of whats happening and not long term strategy. I’d like to thank the good U.S of A. petroleum engineers for keeping the flow going despite Iran trying to charge shipping tolls outside the USD system which cannot be tolerated. Gas would have to get a lot more expensive before it impacts me, but I get that some folks are on tighter margins. Weather the storm my friends, do not run into EVs. I think Bimmer is right and this won’t be over quickly but I do think shipping routes and prices will stabilize before November.

“The 1979 Iranian Revolution lasted from January 7, 1978, to February 11, 1979, which is approximately one year and one month.”

The Iranian regime is what Bond villains aspire to be. If nothing else, we now know Iran was in serious violation of all previous buyout attempts.

I am thinking 3-6 months of escalated prices from the cessation of hostilities. Hopefully back to normal before the cold months hit for the more northern folks.

Jeez, talk about oil shocks.
98 is now $NZ3.55 litre and 95 is $NZ2.85. That's $US7.82 and $6.28 for a US gallon.
Still not stopping me from driving.
But our pathetic media are talking about carless days as in the late 70's when you could not drive one day a week.
Actually carless days were great for me. Most cops chose Wednesday as we never had Wednesdays rostered off. And I used the company bike for work.

I live in North Carolina 93 octane is about 4.29.
Driving a 2014 Shelby Gt500 it's hard to not stomping on the gas pedal and watching the gas needle drop. Even worse my 68 AMX needs racing fuel for peak performance.
