Like it or not, but modern cars also have a ton of technology compared to the GT500 which also increases pricing.

So, how much new technology on the DHSC that isn't already baked into the Dark Horse?
The Predator is already in the Raptor R and GTD, so EPA cert cost and efforts should be minimized. The platform is also already not new, so crash certification, again costs minimized. QA testing, again, the Prerdator is already out there. Now, I know there are a ton of other processes, procedures and costs with bringing out a new model, but the base DHSC should be ~ 10-12k more than the base Dark Horse +HP, on a mode/option proportional basis.

Reason I would never buy a Tesla - Back to the DH SC - other than the A$$hats that HAVE TO HAVE IT - to upstage their neighbor, or show off at the Cars and Coffee I'm not sure the SC will sell very well.

A buddy of mine owns a 2022 Tesla Model 3 performance. He is lucky to get $22K for the thing he paid over $58K.

Only thing I disagree with is the part about it being not too far off from the GT500 price when it debuted counting for inflation.

A base 2020 GT500 was $74k

Adjusting for inflation that would be about $93k today

The base DH SC is $108k.

It’s grossly overpriced even in base form IMO

Thing is considering the consistent adms for the full life of the gt500 ford would say that car was underpriced and the dealers raked all the benefit. Pricing isn’t a “cost plus” exercise it’s a market demand exercise.
