Is any tuner able to "activate" the Active Exhaust feature on a non-AE? I believe this needs to be done in the PCM tuning section. I can use FORScan to change the IPC, APIM, and ACM modules to enable controllability on the screens, but the actual valve control still needs to be done.

Build:
301A GT MT
Non-AE
Whipple Stage 1
Borla catback Type-S with AE option
Have OEM actuators and 3 wiring harnesses needed

Please let me know if you can help me out! Many have tried to do this and not been able to due to the locked tuning, but with the tuning finally unlocked, I'm hoping we can get this completed!

Are there no tuners that have done this? Or that have tried?

Am I wrong to think that a "tuner" doesn't traditionally mess with things like this. They are working inside the ECM and TCM? I think you are looking more for someone with Forscan experience as well as FDRS experience. To answer your original question, I don't know if it can be done and I am not anything I just described. :lipssealed:

FORScan can be used to change the IPC, APIM, and ACM modules to enable controllability.
The BCM and PCM modules are the ones that need to be changed...I think. I can access the BCM with FORScan, but the PCM is a tuner-only thing, I believe.

Maybe try over on the M6G forum and see what they did. I think I seen a few posts over there on adding AE.

Everything I've seen has shown that the 6G and 7G are different. And since the PCM was unlocked a few months ago for the 7G, I'm hoping someone with HP Tuners can access the PCM parameters and enable the Active Exhaust. But I want to be sure they can before I buy the HP Tuners.

Yes all the active exhaust settings are able to be changed in the tune. Even in tunes from cars without AE, all the settings are there but show disabled. Easy to enable if you enable the logic for the rest of the modules with forscan.
