It is important to distinguish between the US and all other markets for the Mustang.

It may be a dime a dozen rental car in the US but in ALL other countries the Mustang is a low volume prestige car.

In the Dominican Republic I seen a black Mustang pull up. I noticed it lacked the all telling Nostrils in its grill letting one know it's a GT 5.0, which Ecoboosts lack. Then as it was moving into it's stall I noticed the 5.0 badge. As it parked there was a running horse on it trunk lid, which is also distinguishes it from the GT. I actually rather have the running horse badge on my DH. GT badge does nothing for me. Since I'm an ex Chevy guy the Big Red SS is my Viagra, and not the GT.

Sadly this has been happening in America for 50 years. We're taking it back. Things will change. Maybe Elon should run Ford a Harley - Davidson. That'll change America's exhaust tune.

It's real easy to look at this and think the Mustang is doomed because sales are bad compared to the Mach-E. Everyone needs to consider that the ICE Mustangs have undergone large price hikes and large dealer mark-ups which are driving the once affordable pony out of the reach of many enthusiasts. On the other hand, the Mach-E has had price cuts, dealer incentives and savings, reduced APR financing, and in some states qualifies for a tax credit, bringing the overall cost to purchase significantly lower than that of the traditional Mustang.

In context, this makes it look much less likely that people are buying the Mach-E because demand is high and people want them, but rather the demand wasn't high enough for what Ford produced and they needed to put them on sale to offload the inventory they had sitting on lots. It may take a few years, but I think everything will balance out.

The amount of ignorance in the world today never fails to surprise me daily.
People thinking they are saving the planet driving electric.
Also the rush to put all our info into the cloud so we can be wiped out is another one that amuses me.
Humans are in a race to destroy themselves… I just don’t understand why

The total number (it does not include Europe) for the Mustang is like ~50K plus with 45K units just in USA. So it looks to me like sales have increased over the 2024 year.
