DCT's are often called autos in Europe. After all, they are self shifters.
Down here they're called DSG's even if they're not VAG cars, or tiptronic.
I just call them great.

But ... It's not a Shelby! I read right on this site that without the Shelby moniker, the 'Dark Horse' would not be sought after.
Ford recently snubbed their nose at the "legacy" models: Bullit, Mach-1, and Shelby.

Because "we live in the future" was the trite response during the press event. It was really strange to watch. They aren't out of touch with their OG Mustang consumer base. They're knowingly abandoning them.

Of course, for those who know cars inside and out:

Dark Horse = updated Mach-1
Dark Horse SC = updated GT500

So they could've avoided the name change if they were being honest with us all and just re-released the Mach-1 and GT500 monikers. But, NO, gotta be different for no reason.

At this point I'm just waiting for them to announce a "Dark Horse FP" with a revised GT350 engine under the hood and trying to play it off as an entirely new car. 😅

the wheels are not available for order yet. and even if they were, expect a whole set to be anywhere from $20,000 to $25,000 USD (or $29,000 to $36,000 AUD, if you can even order them over there)

Damn! That's a whole lotta empty can returns! 😆

No, no, no!

I read right here on M7G that the new Dark Horse moniker was worthless, would command zero value and to be worth anything, it had to have the Shelby / GT500 or GT350 name.
It was right here in this very thread and.. If it's on the internet, it has to be true!

A charitable auction has nothing to do the actual value of the vehicle. But as the saying goes, there's an ass for every seat.

Yet there is a thread here about someone taking a 15k loss on their Dark Horse after 1 year … meanwhile S550 Shelby’s still selling over sticker …
